Really enjoyed this. I've seen almost all of these except The Raid, and think it's not a bad list.

Reminded me a lot of our old Badass series on Blue Yonder:http://baldmove.com/tag/badass/

What do you guys think? Who's missing? Who doesn't belong? I think ranking Swayze so high, if he should be ranked at all, is a point of contention for me.

Dear god, just saw this on reddit. Such a great break down of the mastery of Jackie Chan's particular style of comedic fighting.

I haven't seen enough action flicks to have a well-informed opinion, but I'll agree with any list that puts Beatrix Kiddo at #1. She was such a badass through both movies. The Oldboy hallway fight, too, is one for the ages. If I were to give an award for best pre-fight smack talk, I'd give it to Chris Pine as Kirk in Star Trek '09. One of the cadets reminds him that he's outnumbered 4 to 1 and he replies "So why don't you get some more guys, then it will be a fair fight?" As far as 1 vs many, I loved the elevator fight in Winter Soldier this year.

I need to brush up and spend a little time getting acquainted with some of those movies. I love the genre but I rarely actually watch many of them (i.e. the wife doesn't like them).
  • @FrakkinToaster‌ that elevator fight was completely badass.
