Is Jim Gordon the Batman of Gotham?

Hmm lemme see: brooding guy with no sense of humor, a strong moral compass and a keen sense of justice. Superb detective skills and loves to throw down with the bad guys.

This is not Batman without Batman; this is Batman with Gordon in the Batman role.

What do you think? i wish I could take credit for it but my wife pointed it out the other night.

Yeah pretty much. He's not bad. He actually played Batman in Year One. He was ok in that and plays Gordan very much the same way.

I definitely buy that. This has been changing a bit through the evolution of Bullock, but the show also presents him as "one man against the world" like Batman.

I've never been much into the Batman cartoons, but the DC Animated stuff has gotten me very curious. Assault on Arkham and Throne of Atlantis were exceptional.
