Back during the great Bald Move Crisis of 2016, I made this comment: http://forums.baldmove.com/discussion/comment/47026/#Comment_47026

As we all know, the guys hit their goal WELL before the end of the year… in fact, I think it might have been the very next day.


I’m a man of my word.  I’m very proud to present the first and only (to the best of my knowledge) Bald Move tattoo!:

Yup, that’s a tattoo of Zombie Jim and Zombie A.Ron on my leg.  Watching Dead was the show that originally got me hooked on Bald Move (way back in season 3), so when it came time to create a tattoo that paid tribute to our podcasting heroes, the decision to have it be TWD-themed was pretty easy to make.


My long-time tattoo artist and good friend Rob Sampson (of Patriot Tattoo in Spring Valley, CA) came up with this amazing design.  If anyone’s interested, I posted a brief Imgur gallery of the design process with some sketches, etc:  http://imgur.com/a/moXCF


Permanently honoring Bald Move was the least I could do in return for the countless hours of entertainment that Jim and A.Ron have provided me over the years; from podcasts to playthroughs, Bald Move has literally reshaped the way I view television, movies, gaming, and even the world in general.


@Jim and @A_Ron_Hubbard, I sent you guys a gift in the mail that should be there tomorrow… just a small token of appreciation for everything you do.

    Is anyone else kind of awkwardly excited for Jim and Aron to see and comment about this? They've poured their heart and soul into BaldMove, and to see this as a response has to be unspeakably cool.

    Yeah, I saw that there were a bunch of replies in the thread, so I giddily clicked the link hoping to see one of them respond. I can't remember if there is a lunch tomorrow, I really hope there is though so I can listen to them discuss it.

    God damn.  Well, that explains the framed photo we just received in the studio sans comment.  I'm honored.  And I agree, that artist is amazing.  Our first tattoo, just wow, I'm blown away.  Christ, how can we ever stop The Walking Dead now? You really upped the ante, @DoubleA_Ron.

    We just got the gift you sent and we were puzzled until we saw this thread.  HOLY SHIT MAN!  That's incredible!  Seriously, that's the most amazing bald-move-related thing that has ever happened.  I'm also stoked to have the illustration that I can point to and say "you see that?  Someone out there has a tattoo of that."

    @A_Ron_Hubbard, @Jim I bet when you guys were starting Blue Yonder, the thought never crossed ya'lls minds "someday, somebody we've never met is gonna have our faces tattooed to their bodies!" That is Badass @DoubleA_Ron! Love this community!

    Very safe bet!   We did our share of dreaming back in the day, but people wearing "us inspired ink" didn't even enter the imagination.

    Just asking... suppose someone got a tattoo of you both dressed up in 60's era business suits sipping bourbon out of tumblers. What are the chances that'd get us an early seasons Mad Men rewatch?

    This is awesome! How far will we go? they thought they had it hard when people started shelling out $300 per commission and they couldn't keep up. Now people are going to start offering tattoos, and other insanities. And then next thing you know, you get a dick on a box. And I wanna see that footage, when Jim slowly opens the box and cringes, and then A_ron off to the side holding his head screaming "what's in the box, WHATS IN THE BOX"

    Seriously though, it'd be cool to get @DoubleA_Ron 's tattoo guy to just do sketches of Jim and Aron in themes for each of the shows they cover...

    Mad Men, Westworld, GoT would work well... Breaking Bad - Aron dressed as Walt, Jim as Jesse.

    Oh yeah, this idea has legs.
