F8 of the Furious (no spoilers)

Just got back. I have only seen F&F1 2F2F, and f6. But I'm invested now. This movie was bad ass, and can't wait to marathon the first 9 (hopefully) this coming weekend. Can't wait to hear J&A's thoughts, and really missed Paul Walker. RIP.

I saw it. Loved it! So much fun, that last act was insane and ridiculous, I was dying.

I'm sure I will be lone voice of dissent, but why the fuck do we need EIGHT of these damn movies??? Really, 8??? The Godfather only had 3 and they're some of the best movies in cinematic history!

(Not a fan.  Couldn't tell, could ya?  lol)

Just like the last few, I really want to find someone who hasn't ever seen any of them and show them newest immediately followed by the 1st one. Or maybe vice versa.
  • This movie was in no way better than 5 or 6. And 7 had a lot more heart. I miss Paul walker because he had great chemistry with Vin diesel.

"Hey man, he was in my face!"

    "I'm in your face!"

It used to actually be much more about the car scene, which is now very nostalgic looking back at the first couple.

I'm surprised so many folks liked it. It was one of my least favorite, followed by 2&3 being worse. It was all over the place and I didn't buy dom's reason for going against his family. At some point it was dragging for me and while I know these movies aren't masterpieces, I feel like it was all big budget action. With the exception of the rock and Jason Statham, humor was lacking. And little touched my heart.

I'll watch every fast movie released. But this one disappointed me. Not sure where they go next.
  • Yeah. It was ridiculous, in a good way, but these movies feel nothing like the first one (or 2 or 3) anymore. But just hearing Jim and A.Rons review made me go see it anyway. I was cracking up at all the parts I remembered them discussing which made it even better.
