    who shot Gamby?

My moneys on that snake in the grass Russel, BUT I could see a scenario where Belinda told her husband and then the husband sends someone out to shoot him without her knowing. Taking the series in this direction could end badly because it seems like this basic question has laid the foundation for the entire second season and while I'm sure I'll love the jokes along the way if the ultimate reveal is dumb or doesn't make sense I will be a little disappointed.
  • Pretty cool interview at the end here with Walton G. and Danny M. https://www.acast.com/doinitwithmikesacks/jackhandey-dannymcbride-andwaltongoggins

I can't believe Russell got rid of his mid-century C ranch.

damn, Belinda Brown's tattoo and Gamby;s reaction alone made the episode...

I absolutely love the over-the-top stupidity of this show. Hope the second season is as funny as the first. BTW, my vote for who shot Gamby is Russell's mother in law or someone he got to do it

Yeah, I feel like it has to be Russell but that seems too obvious. Either he did it or he got someone to do it. The brunette teacher he hooked up with last year had a very crazy look about her in this episode too. It made me think of her in a "If I can't have you, no one can" kind of way.
  • Love this show since I’m a social studies teacher, and it’s so unique because of the weird blend of dark and comedic tones.

Excellent first episode, and I don’t think that Russell was the one that shot him. The weird teacher that has the hots for him is definitely a contender cause she seems twisted.

I hope in some ways Belinda Brown gets her revenge, but it doesn’t have to be via murder (she clearly didn’t do it either).

that one teacher (Bob i think is his name) that dated Amanda seemed a little shifty evil eye when they showed him this episode. i don't trust that dude.

So, the cold open scene was kind of odd for this episode, right? Dayshswn stabbed his finger but it didn't seem to matter. We saw him later but he didn't even have a bandage on his finger. The only point of it I guess was to show he was still wearing the same, uncleaned shoes he was wearing when he "rescued" Gamby. But that sure looked like blood splatter and not drips or incidental contact with his blood. Seems a little fishy.

Interesting observation, though honestly that could be explained by him stepping into a puddle of blood and I wouldn't anticipate that this show would utilize such details. On a spoiler note I have closely looked at the trailers and we are going to see belinda brown at least one more time this season, so her story is not over.

@jleav382 God I hope Belinda Brown has a tattoo of PCP somewhere on her body.

  • I do think it is possible that it will end of being Dayshawn. Seems odd they would show that shoe scene for no reason.

  • This is a little old at this point, but I'm calling that Ray shot Gamby. Ray seems eager to change the subject every time the shooting is brought up, and has definite reason to shoot Gamby. He might have botched the attempt to kill him and nursed him back to health to cover up the fact that he was the shooter.

Do you mean Russel? What definite reason does Ray have to shoot Gamby?

Gamby is constantly an asshole to Ray, and he might have harbored a grudge against him. Ray just seems kind of shady so far in Season 2 every time Gamby brings up his shooting.

Could be cause it seems to down to her and Lee. I can see her planting that or trying to hide it there but it sure is convenient the car was unlocked....

He also used to be an extremely shady sheriff in Atlantic City.
  • That line he drops about his daughters weight this episode, hilarious but I could see why Aaron thought the comedy in this show sometimes misses the mark, especially when it comes to the daughter. I still find it hilarious, maybe I'm just as screwed as Gamby.
  • This penultimate episode confirms it for me, it was crazy Miss Abbott.

Gamby's ex-wife saying "it was a him?" when he said he found the shooter makes me wonder if there was a detail about the shooter we don't know. I was about to say I still thought it was Lee Russell but that ending shot on Abbott was pretty damning. I would still bet Lee had something to do with it. Probably.
  • Lee didn't seem to put up much of a defense this episode when Gamby came at him with the accusations, maybe because he knew there was no convincing him at this point. So up until I saw the last shot I was convinced it was Russel, and then I saw the previews for next week and damn..lookin like it's not Russel! Which makes me feel kind of bad about what happened this episode, but yes I think Abbot is behind all of this. But I am also prepared for anything at this point.

I'm calling it now: there is going to be a flashback scene of Lee fucking Abbott next episode. Something along the lines of Abbot saying "why don't you take your pants off when we make love?" and Lee responding with "baby, these 7 For All Mankinds don't come off for nothing. Nothing. Not even butt sex". Cue high school drumline credits.

I've been thinking most of the season that they are setting up for Lee to be falsely revealed as the shooter, only to reveal that the real shooter was Lee's wife because she wanted him to get the promotion. But then when they split up, I shifted to Ms Abbott being the real shooter. I do also think that's the impression we're supposed to get from the last scene of the latest episode. I'm honestly not sure why he has never looked into Abbott more closely, since she's a crazy stalker and all.

I've also been struggling to figure out if they are going to end this in a way where Lee and Gamby have a huge downfall for their dirty deeds in S1, or if all of this craziness that has happened to them since then is penance enough and we'll see them unite at the end somehow with Gamby getting his dream job. I could definitely see it going either way, although i lean towards at least Gamby having already paid his due for his bad deeds in season 1, and maybe Lee redeems himself by self sacrifice to save his only friend at the end.
  • In retrospect as strong as the Abbot theory is.....why would she burn Lee's car too?

What a finale!!!! This capped off what I think was a really great season. Sad it's ending. Remember reading it was supposed to be a movie. It would be cool to see if they could do something else. Or at least McBride and Goggins together again. Those two are comedy gold.

Hope the guys can do a quick recap on a Bald Move TV.

This was crazy and over the top and I loved it! I was sure Abbott blew a hole in Russell's head!

I was happy to see Stevie from Eastbound and Down! I could totally go for a third season. Oh well.

  • Great Finale, and great series. Can’t wait to binge it soon. Glad they didn’t kill Russell!
