Forget James Frain, why wasn't Ray Winstone on GOT!

Best British Actor ever.. could basically have played anyone... he would have been an amazing Tywin - so scary!

He might have been a great Robert, I'll give him that. Although I've never heard him do a Northern accent!

Well they still need a Howland Reed (maybe), or has he been cast already?

I feel like he's too modern. Has he ever done any olde timey roles? I've only ever seen him playing variations of gangsters and geezers.
  • It's hard to imagine someone other than Charles Dance as Tywin now. I feel like I've only ever seen Ray Winstone in Indiana Jones 4 which probably wasn't the best first impression.

As much as I'd love to see Howland Reed, I don't know if that will happen. The story that he would be there to corroborate, Sam already has proof of and Jon just accepted via scroll (seriously that was just glossed right over) that Bran has visions and saw the undead army was near Eastwatch so I don't think he's necessary.
  • Ray did don a green morph suit to play 'Beowulf' but I don't remember him in any other period pieces..
