Forget Mindhunter, watch Suburra: Blood on Rome instead
... or in addition to -- whatever floats your boat -- but really, serial killers are so last century. This Netflix Italian Original* mashes up organized crime, politics, and the Church in a stylish and entertaining package. I don't know if there will be much depth to it -- I've only watched the first two episodes. The premiere is dense, and there is a lot to keep track of, but it all snaps into place at the end. The second episode slows down and focuses on the characters, some of whom are quite charming. The score by Loscil is wonderful, and the cinematography and production design are gorgeous.
Is anyone else watching?
*For those who watched the 2015 film Suburra, this is the prequel series.
