Can we talk about how cool it is that Andrew Freakin' Stanton directed two episodes of Stranger Things? I mean, the dude has two Oscars. Considering his only live-action direction was "John Carter" - I wonder if he's getting his chops ready to attempt to direct another live-action film?
Has anyone seen a scene that might be an influence for the reunion between El and her mom? I had a weird feeling of deja vu watching the scene (specifically a paranormal trying to communicate with someone catatonic). I can't figure out if I saw something similar or if I just happened to catch this scene during the awards season.
