MS Walk 2018

Hello everyone!
I participate in my local MS Walk every year.  I have just registered for my local one, which is April 14th.
If anyone would like to donate to this great cause, please click on the link below.  You can also join my team (End MS) and help raise funds yourself.

Let me recover from my V-Day financial wounds and I’ll donate some.  I’m a 6 year Team Captain for MS 150

  • Awww, thanks @cdrive !     :)
And that's awesome that you've been a Team Captain!  There are many diseases out there that need research and awareness drawn to, but MS is definitely one of them.

They've made huge advancements with MS, and new ones are coming all the time - I think CretanBull is right when he says a cure is in sight.   :)

Done. Thanks for the reminder.  We got this one.  It’s so close.  We’ll see an end to MS sooner rather than later.   Cheers, April!

  • @cdrive - thank you so much!    :)

And I agree - we are so close to a cure!  Like, possibly within our lifetime!   *crosses fingers*
  • Hello everyone!  It's about two weeks to my local MS Walk, so I thought I'd bump this thread one last time.  A *huge* thank you to those that have already donated, and thank you to everyone else for your patience and support while I did this.  You all are awesome!

You posted this on the one year anniversary of my friend X-Ray's death. He lived with MS for 25 years (by the time I met him, he was a quadriplegic), and was easily one of the nicest and most interesting people I've ever met. He had a regular care staff, but his friends he grew up with took turns caring for him as well. For the most part, we made it a point to do every poker night and football watching party at his house. Set him by the poker table or in front of the TV, feed him gin and weed (and food, ha ha), and just hang out.

MS is one of those causes that gets top billing in my book. Like others have said in this thread, MS looks like it'll get knocked out in our lifetime.
