couldn't even finish it. pretty much the opposite of last weeks episode, boring and unfunny.

I think Amy Schumer, I think stolen jokes.
The cold open left me flat because of personal reasons. I didn’t finish the cold open so I guess I’ll pass on the rest.

i did see a few seconds of the musical guest. I thought she couldn’t sing that well.

  • I agree that it was mostly pretty bad. I thought the Gospel talk show was funny and the clip at the end cracked me up, but the rest didn't do much for me. The music act sucked and the update didn't seem very inspired. I do like when they bring their moms out. It may not be funny, but it's cute enough to work on me. This was the sketch of the night for me.

That was bad. I don't like Amy Schumer so that doesn't help, but I think the most the episode got from me was a chuckle. Amy Schumer is also a comedy black hole.

The musical guest seemed generic too.

Here's hoping Tina Fey finishes the season on a high note.

Man. Talk about a tear jerker of an episode this week.

Farley has so many great skits. Nick Foley and Da bears are definitely top of mind. But I don’t think anything made me laugh as hard as the coffee skit...his facial expressions and subsequent insanity is just so classic...

haha yeah that coffee skit is a classic! my friends and i have been using a gif from that for years via text when saying we're angry. for example, i get a text that says 'so how does that Parkey kick make you feel?' and i just reply with the gif and they know it means 'Angrrrrry...'.

really tho, that Sandler tribute made my eyes sweat :'(. someone said on the radio, Sandler has been awful for years and SNL has not been very good, but together they're not bad.

I actually think alot of his movies would have been better if Farley was still alive and cast in them. It feels like after Farley passed Kevin James became the surrogate for Sandler. and I am a big King of Queens fan but Kevin is a poor man's Chris Farley.

i never thought about that. i hated that Chuck and Larry flick, but if that was Farley over James :D. yes please!

and shout out to King of Queens. that was my unemployed go to in my early 20's.

yea. KoQ often gets left behind in the discussions of great sitcoms but it was really good. the episode where Deacon and his wife buy them the painting with Carrie's big arm is probably one of the funniest episodes of TV ever.

  • I think i really enjoyed Adam's monologue song about being fired.  Even before he sang it, I always remembered some interview with Sandler where he mentioned how Farley came running into his (Sandler's office) and was like "we're all getting fired".  Seems really weird at the time that SNL fired both of them since their movie careers were starting to take off, so maybe it was for the best anyways.

I could go on and on with clips and episodes.

Last one. The episode where they get Danny the Cousin to take Arthur for the nights at the pizza place and they go home jumping up and down on the couch naked eating pizza...
