Here's the article Emilia Clarke wrote for the New Yorker talking about what she went through with her brain aneurysms. Pretty scary stuff

wow. scary stuff glad she was ok.

I don’t know what it feels like but I was on a flight a week ago and experienced something I never had before. It’s really hard to describe. But I had this incredible shooting pain just above my left eye and it felt like pulses of my brain would feed it. Like it would subside but then come back and did this multiple times. At first I thought it was just a Headache. But after a few minutes I realised it wasn’t. Then I thought it was the pressure but we were not changing altitude yet. Luckily it went away. But it was something I’ve never experienced before. If it didn’t go away I would have probably went to ER when we landed cuz it was that painful and bad.

If you start seeing flashes or what looks like fireworks in your peripheral vision accompanying that get it checked out, because it can be a sign of a detaching retina. Source: Had a partially detached retina that was surgically repaired about 15 years back.

  • I am a neuro nurse in Philly in a super specialized unit that deals with mostly with aneurysms. 50% of ppl don't make it to the hospital. Most aneurysms are genetic so if your parent or someone close to you has died of this it's very Important that you get an MRI or a CTA to make sure that you don't have an aneurysm.  If you have one it's very important to go to a place that deals with them specifically.
