When Mike was giving Goodman the documents "he needed to do his job", there was a photocopy of the deceased TravelWire clerk, poor Fred Whalen. Was there something ominous about that picture for future episodes (some kind of diabolical identity scam, say, by Goodman to get Lalo off the hook), or is that just identity information he'd ordinarily need for legal research on the case?
so good! first show in awhile where i can't wait for
the next episode! loving how the 2 parallel stories are coming together,
and Jimmy/Saul is the crossroads. 3 episodes left!

I also wonder why, of all the documents, they focused briefly on the drivers license? Another thing I don't understand - how much longer will Gus bend over? What's the long game? He's lost lots of money, some of his guys arrested, burning down his restaurant? And why slash and destroy the restaurant if you're blowing it up?
I really need Gus (and Mike) to strike out soon or I'll start to look at Gus as nothing more than a wuss. There is such a thing as dragging out a storyline for too long.
And HUGE SHOUT OUT to the two-faced mirror shot! Jimmy watching and sympathizing with the family and Saul in the mirror getting the scumbags off.
Did I mention I'm loving this season. So glad Vince is back!

That's one of the drawbacks of it being a prequel. We know Gus' long game, and we know he achieves it. He wants full control of the territory.
They slashed and destroyed the restaurant to make it 100% clear that it was arson and to send a message to Gus that it was coming from the Salamancas.

I've always been a bit hazy on how much involvement Vince actually has. I know he usually directs an episode or two. But is he writing or a part of the writer's room at all at this point?
Huel the wedding photographer. Kim telling Kevin what's what (and the look on Paige's face). The small moments with Mike and his family. The Madrigal supervillain hotel suite meeting. The staged arson (I'm sure we'll get 20 minutes of the inside cast dedicated to the low-light camera work).
And of course the entire courthouse scene ... Jimmy looking at the victims family, the "two-face" shot, and Jimmy raining fire down on Howard.
I understand ARon not podcasting this with schedule constraints .... but to not even be watching it .... best show on TV right now and it's not that close.
One interesting tidbit: Fring alluded that Schuller was involved in whatever he was doing in Chile. I was curious and looked up German involvement in the coup of the early 1970's - sounds like Peter could have been a spy! Love them continuing to sprinkle in a little bit of backstory.
I literally gasped when both Alexis and JIm said they knew nothing about The Little Prince. While it was written like a children's book, it truly is a masterpiece about what makes the fleeting human life meaningful. I can see how Kim is the rose to Jimmy/Saul, always so proud, never let her vulnerable side slip out. But deep down, she loves him and what they have together, and that's why she blew up on Kevin when he called Jimmy a lowlife, just as her rebellious reaction to a judge (or a DA?) basically said the same thing about Jimmy. Anyway, guys, don't dismiss something you have no knowledge of. BTW Kim was not wearing a strapless bra.

There was a lot of strong hate for strapless bras (women wear these for a multitude of occasions) and avocados (so delicious). Dare I say your midwest was showing. And The Little Prince should be a requirement in every household, whether there are children or not.
Like I mentioned above, I anxiously wait for Gus to kick it into high gear. No method of death is too strong for Lalo. And we know it's coming.
Am I understanding correctly that Kim is wife #3? I don't recall a third wife ever mentioned in BB. Perhaps Jimmy has too much love and respect for her to dis her. Or perhaps he still mourns her? I have no inside info when I suggest this.
FYI - avocados on fish tacos is amazing! And this is coming from a boomer.
So Lydia hooks Gus up with Madrigal Electromotive. And she appears to be having an affair with Peter Schuler, the dipping sauce/defibrillator test guy.

I think this quote from Sepinwall's episode 8 review has your answer: "Vince Gilligan has stepped back from this series the last few years to make El Caminoand work on other projects, but he still helps develop each season’s story arcs, and he still directs one episode per season."

I wonder what this could mean...

That is all

Which, of course, would make her...
...wait for it...
...The Franch Lieutenant's Woman!
