The bears have a point differential of +5 and are 4-1. Insane.
not surprising at all. i mean, every game they have won the other team had a chance to win on their last drive (Lions should have won). what was satisfying about last nights win was that it was against a team with a winning record and TB12. all the wins prior to that all the teams have a combined record of 1-11. regardless, a win is a win and i'll take em.
Holy shit, the Titans are undefeated? I forget that they not only were in the playoffs last year, they led by 10 in the AFC Championship Game. Good for them.

i have zero respect for them since they were so careless with with the COVID protocol. they should have forfeited vs the Bills and or got some kind of fine or consequence for it. and their HC is a meathead buffoon.
The last time the bears won the Super Bowl their starting QB wore 9.
I thought Justin Jefferson should have been the first receiver off the board but that was just based on his LSU playoff games and I think the Vikings hit the jackpot on him.
the packers finally looked vulnerable and there O-line got decimated. Bears D have one of the best front 7 in Football so I’m hoping we can have similar success.

Mentioning ex-patriots I went to high school with Rob Ninkovich same year and he also dated by cousin for a year or so. He was the best player on the Football team by a mile. But I have some bragging rights against him.
We were playing a pickup game of Football one day. We were just finishing up after playing and 2 truck loads of kids pull up to our game. It’s basically the starting team of our high school. They ask us if we’re up to play another game and we’re tired but we decided to “man up” and give them a game. So on our side we have a bunch of stoners, none of us had played organised sports for years but we were all pretty athletic and their side is the towns Football team.
We play them and we’re are kicking their ass. Like surprisingly destroying actual Football players. But tiredness starts to kick in and they make a huge comeback. They tie the game and next score wins. We used every last ounce of energy we had and marched down the field. They get us to a 4th down and we have to score or it’s turned over.
I line up as a TE which I normally would never do given my size. I chip my blocker and do a quick slant into the end zone and next thing I know the balls in my chest game over.
We were celebrating like we won the Super Bowl and the high school Football team is all salty about it. One of the best sports moments of my life. Not only did we beat the towns high school team after like 3 hours of playing but we also Beat an actual Super Bowl champion in the process.
LOL. They were right on until they suggested Biden wouldn't be doing this. I feel bad for them though, going to take a lot of shit for being right about something extremely obvious.
Ever since they switched to the Cardinal Directions Divisions, there does pretty regularly seem to be one (or sometimes multiple) that are just completely mediocre or terrible, from one to four. If the NFC East continues to stink, I wonder if they'll stop giving an automatic berth to division winners. What would it take at this point? A 6-10 winner?

They apparently didn't know the mics were on and were just joking.
Also, as loathe as I am to defend the military NFL relationship, these flights would happen anyway, so it's not costing tax payers money. Pilots need to hit certain numbers of hours in their aircraft, so they need to do a lot of flights even once they're assigned to a unit, so all they do is schedule and divert already required training flights to fly over the game. So it's almost 0 cost.
That being said, I still think we need to untangle the NFL and patriotism, so these need to go, as do all military advertising at games, as does doing the anthem at sporting events (which was only started to try and drum up interest in attending games of a financially struggling baseball team).

The specifics of the budget isn't really the point though, it's more like you said that we get massive amounts of military propaganda shoved in our faces during sporting events but it's presented as "non-political". It's refreshing to hear someone like Buck talk shit about it.

Well said. We as Americans make fun of countries North Korea parading their military and missiles through the streets, but don't blink an eye when we use flyovers and other military propaganda at so many sporting events and other occasions.

Ugh especially with his contract situation. Should've already gotten paid! Hope he makes a full recovery and lands on a better team.

lol Joe and Troy welcome to the resistance.
