Kim though!!!! I thought Lalo was going to hurt Jimmy after she read him for filth but I fear it’s actually going to be worse. Still, god that scene was amazing.
Kim standing toe to toe with Lalo is right up there with “Say my name” or “I am the one who knocks”. Shell companies, have you heard of the Caymen islands............WOW.......
Lalo doesn't need any focus drugs for interrogations, he is already hyperfocused and menacing by nature. :-)
If Saul just admitted he had ditched his car it would have been all over. That was really close, especially since Jimmy wasn't fully recovered at this point.
Pretty epic episode for a pretty epic season of television. In hindsight it is kind of amazing how much filler they got away with in Season 4. Regardless I'm really looking forward to whatever cliff hanger they have in store for the kick off into next season, I am not however looking forward to waiting another 1.5 years.

I have the feeling she will be forced to help with Lalo's schemes because he probably has more respect for her than Jimmy.
I still think that she may survive and she was just the silent partner in all of Saul's BS during BB. Jimmy had to run and abandon her and that is why Gene is such a sad sack. Of course this is an opinion, but it would be a nice subversion to what all the viewers are dreading.
So good. Kim’s stance against Lalo and her gaze at the money, helps me understand her attraction to Jimmy. Because she’s also good at the game.
My fear - not everyone will make it out alive, and we know who survives from Breaking Bad. So who has a tragic ending? Nacho? Kim? My heart breaks thinking about it.
i love how Lalo still cracks me up during the intense moments. like Jimmy opening the door and Lalo is there with that big smile 'Hey Guys!. then as he's pacing the apartment, 'Nice! I like it!'
I bet full Breaking Bad Saul Goodman is Saul Goodman without Kim. I'm going to guess she's just out of his life, all the Gene and Nebraska setup can't be accidental.
Is it just me or is this season the most consistent and infinitely better than any season that came before it? There were some standout episodes in the past especially centered around Chuck and I have to say I was worried about losing that character. But this entire season is like BB season 4-5 territory in terms of quality and this time it shed all the slow, indulgent filler.
I'll be so upset if we lose Rhea from the show. She has been outstanding from the quiet moments of uncertainty between her and Saul to facing off Lalo and shouting him out of the apartment.

Lalo is the best. He may have usurped Mike as my favorite character in the universe. How did Alexa put it? "He's a slick bastard." Something like that.

I mean nobody compares to Spooge. But besides him yea Lalo and Mike are getting close. Just sucks to know he’s gonna kick it.

If Lalo dies I guess Jimmy doesn’t find out about it. Otherwise he wouldn’t have thought it was Lalo who sent the guys after him in BB.

True. But that would be such a huge hanging thread for Gus after his total destruction of the Mexican cartels and specifically erasing the Salamanca’s. I don’t see Gus leaving Lalo around unless his plan was to take him out after hector. But Gus always wanted to watch hector in pain so that’s not likely.

Spooge is pretty great. I really wish we could get more Blingey a.k.a. Middle of the Mall Vin Diesel:
I saw the gun riddled car - yahoos with guns lie coming. I anticipated a, 'we went out there and found it, but, it was riddled with bullets and pushed into a ravine', too.
But, I did not see the 'Worlds Greatest Lawyer' coffee mug risk. It shows how tightly woven these stories are, and the terrific job the writers do.
Just a very minor correction on the podcast. Hector is (most likely) not in the senior living home at the beginning of Breaking Bad. Tuco has him living with him out in the desert at the beginning of Season 2 when Jesse and Walt are kidnapped by Tuco. He is then picked up by the DEA after the shootout where Tuco is killed by Hank.
So somewhere between where we are at now in BCS and the beginning of Season 2 of Breaking Bad, Hector must be taken out of that facility.
Just heard a theory that I sort of liked. We don’t know why Kim isn’t in Breaking Bad. she could be...
1. dead, 2. disappeared (back to KS), 3. just broken up with Jimmy because of all his crap, 4. behind the scenes, running the Saul Goodman operation, or...
*maybe*
5. Lalo is so impressed with her, he gives her the opportunity to become the cartel’s lawyer. She no longer has a source of income, she’s gotten a taste for the scam life... maybe Jimmy does something that breaks the camel’s back, they split, and that’s her best option.

Goodness gracious me, what a final 10 minutes.
