Commissioned Podcasts

With commissioned podcasts coming back...

Suppose you win the lottery (or whatever). You can now chain Jim & Aron to their desks to pump out podcasts for you. What are the first 5 (or so) movies (or TV shows) you commission?

Off the top of my head, I'll go with...

1. Gattaca
2. Into the Wild
3. Clue
4. Swingers
5. (As ridiculous as it is...) The Wizard (1989).

  • I really want them to watch fateful findings or the pest. Both really bad movies that are great because they are so bad. The pest is a bit better in quality but it’s definitely in that “so bad it’s good” range; and fateful findings has got to be one of the worst movies in terms of acting, writing, directing, cinematography, and score. Just horrible throughout, with really bad dialogue like it was written by a sixth grader.

For Aron: Sicario, Gone Girl and anything with Gwyneth Paltrow

    For Jim: David Lynch’s catalogue

    No, I’m kidding (sort of)

I would just like some of my favorite films like Good Will Hunting or Social Network. Classics like Goodfellas or Pulp Fiction. Succession has been mentioned so for TV I will go with Ozark, the current show I’m watching.

The Wedding Singer or Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion, because who doesn’t want to hear @Jim’s opinion on these classics.

I’m pretty sure they did ex machina, either that or they’ve mentioned it a few times in episodes for other things.

I tried to find a “again...again...again...” gif of the great national treasure Kevin a Costner. Couldn’t find it so best I can do is to start watching this towards the end when he asks the guy to keep repeating the Zapruder video by saying again.

Edit: I gues he only says it once. Probably why the there is no gif. Could have sworn it said it like 4 tunes but it was back and to the left he said that, But anyways that’s the gist of the conspiracy for anyone who’s never read or watched anything in detail. It’s about the best 4 minute summary of 40 years worth of conspiracy nuts pouring over data/interviews/evidence/etc
