Eating Their Own. And their $$$
Baldmove miss treats its club members by unfairly shutting out dissenting views. Not Jim, but Aron. Aron doesnt want to engage in reasonable debate. He has let his politics interfere with his business. I love their content but now I understand why they are losing memberships.
Let me be clear, I am a 25 yr registered Democrat and believe strongly in progressive politics. Still not enough for Aron. He demands that all his followers on all his affiliated social media platforms tow the line.
Good luck to Jim.

I believe I am on record being against the hard stance BM took shutting down political discussion in the community. Especially in regards to not allowing dissenting views. I don't think it should be "incorrect" to think differently than the status quo anywhere, because it leads to 1. echo chambers, 2. false consensus, 3. fear of speaking against the status quo due to threat of alienation.
The problem, as I see it (and I'm no expert) is when a dissenting opinion was presented on this board the person would be dog-piled on, get backed into a corner, and lash out. This way goes madness. It's a lose-lose from BM's perspective. Ether allow the continued discussion that almost inevitably breaks down into insult-hurling, name-calling, and hurt feelings; or stop the discussion, keep topics relevant to entertainment, and avoid it all while pissing off those with dissenting views. The thing is, in either scenario, dissenting opinions wind up alienated. In scenario 1, there is strife and a ton of incidents of moderation and members being banned. In scenario 2, those feelings still exist but are kept hidden and members leave in protest.
I have several times spoken up on the forums with dissenting opinions that I do not find to be radical at all. (i.e. I don't think it's okay to commit acts of violence on other people, a la punching Nazi's.) I have felt that alienation due to a few other members of the forum being dismissive when I've offered dissenting opinions. I understand that there are probably many more people who agree with my position who see the response and probably avoid expressing the same sentiment because of the reaction it has already received having a silencing effect. I personally think that's dangerous.
So while I agree that dissenting views are being shut out, and I agree that is very likely a bad thing for the community; I don't agree that A.Ron are necessarily being unfair. He is entitled to his opinion, and entitled to defend it. He has welcomed those opinions on Swizzbold, and defended them. Per BM's request, these discussions have been relegated away from the BM Forums, social media, and brand, but they can still be had on the Swizzbold reddit.
That leads me to reddit. I think reddit is the worst platform to have the type of discussions that need having. Dissenting opinions get down-voted into non-existence. The "popular" opinions get up-voted to take the spotlight. A more traditional forum would be a much better option. I just don't think Swizzbold makes enough to justify the cost of that currently.
Ultimately, the country is extremely politically divided right now. Nothing will get better until people of opposing views can come together and discuss their differences dispassionately, in good faith, with the intent to understand and come to compromise. Right now, the rhetoric on <unpopular opinion>both sides</unpopular opinion> is actively working against that. In my stance, it's worse on the Right than the Left. But that can and probably will change when the power switches sides. I am utterly convinced that the majority of America is not anywhere near as divided as it seems. Most people are reasonable. The media has drummed up controversy to maximize ad revenue giving a voice to the fringes and lending the appearance that we are split in two. I urge you to find someone of the opposite political persuasion and find out what they believe, why they believe it, and how they got there. Don't correct them, or tell them they are wrong or stupid. Listen, understand, empathize. Once you've done that I think you'll realize we mostly want the same things, and only disagree on how to achieve them.
Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
P.S. Not to call you out, but you kind of proved my point.
Uhmmmmm not for *that* though.... well, maybe. *shrug* (jk!)
And here I was thinking we were talking about pancakes & waffles.
Syrup vs jelly for what? I've never in my life had a decision between syrup and jelly present itself. If this is specifically about eating ass, then you would obviously not want jelly unless you want to just watch chunks of jelly roll off someones ass onto the floor. It barely even spreads on bread. If you are into that ass jelly plinko life then you wouldn't be considering syrup.
