Emmy Winners

I know we truly care about the Baldies around here but I also do enjoy watching the Emmy's as well.  I think the 2 biggest surprises of the night were Zendaya winning outstanding lead actress in a Drama series for Euphoria, which was extremely well deserved, and Maria Schrader for winning outstanding directing in a limited series for Unorthodox.  I made it a point to watch through all the limited series that were nominated for a limited series and Unorthodox was a fascinating story that was based on a true story.

Looks like the Emmys really took a Schitt.

I know that was weak I’ll try harder next time.

Dr Manhattans were 2-0 too so there’s that. I thought the multiple COVID jokes were in poor taste. Hell, the jokes in general were pretty subpar.
    • Toot toot the Succession train.....
    • A Canadian show swept the Emmys.  As your new rulers, we demand that you bag your milk.  Behold your future!

Milk was delivered from Ehrlers in clear plastic bags You placed in a pitcher and snipped the corner of bag

I just finished the first season last night. I wasn't blown away in the beginning. But the last handful of episodes definitely shows an upswing in quality. I hear that upswing only continues in season two, so I am excited.

Succession and schitts creek were my two favorites this past year so you can only imagine how happy I was last night.

Happy to see watchmen win a few but did wish better call Saul and mr robot were nominated more. Lalo deserved to have been nominated

I hear ya on wishing there was more nods to Better Call Saul. At the very least Rhea Seehorn and Bob Odenkirk deserved lead actor/actress nominations. I think Mr. Robot turned too niche after season 1 to be given the Emmy nominations even though the series was still outstanding. At least Rami shot into the spotlight after his win from season 1.

It is almost a slap in the face that BCS only won anything for their web-series employee training videos. Like seriously?
