Fantasy football 2022?

I’ve been mostly on the Discord as of late, but wanted to pop in to see if any of the forums holdouts were interested in playing fantasy football again? There was a little bit of chatter about it on a Discord thread. Let me know! I’m willing to setup the league this year.

It looks like we have 12 teams signed up! Anyone else on the forums planning to play that hasn’t yet? We can expand the league to 14 teams if there are.

damn, looks like i missed out. i haven't had a chance to join. been busy taking care of a buncha things before my kiddo starts school this week. if it expands to 14 lemme know. sorry about that man.

@Chinaski man I got stories now about your hood. But it sure was good & proper. That Brazil cafe yall got and the 7 mile secret cave beach.  Man that is a story there. And we took the boys to the boardwalk rides at night. We’ll be back!

that's awesome man! are you talking about Cafe Brasil on Mission St? whenever I have a 'Me Day' it usually starts at Cafe Brasil for some bfast, place is legit! been going there for years. weather's been good so you came at a good time. and it sounds like you didn't come across any vampires which is good haha. next time you're around lemme know ahead of time!

Vampires!? Yeah it’s on me I know sorry man. I didn’t really know if it would be in play and I’m kinda spontaneous to a fault. But I love your town now though finally getting to spend some time. Last time we came through we were just doing a pass by and everything was kinda closed. But this time was wild dude. Next time, and soon, I’ll let you know better ahead of time.

I visited Santa Cruz a while back when my kid was 2, we had a blast. Did the boardwalk, beach, redwood forest. Ate at a fun tiki bar. Need to get back now that the kiddo is big enough for rides, I’ll have to hit up @Chinaski if I do!

Same here man. Last time I was there the 10 yr old was 1.5. Now He’s 10 and he’s got a almost 7 yr old younger brother. Still afraid of big rides but 10 yr old liked Tsunami and Rock & Roll. Little guy liked Cave Train and Ghost Blasters. Yesterday was hot in San Jose (94), so we drove to The Mystery Spot in Santa Cruz where that cool shady forest was 72. Kids loved it.

tbh i think the boardwalk is pretty gross, but my kid loves it so you all know what us parents will do for the kiddos. but i can totally see why out of towners would dig it. super glad y'all enjoyed your time there i will say.

@cdrive - what the hell were you doing in San Hopeless? it's hot AF over the hill at the moment. so that gnarly highway (hwy 17) that connects SJ to SC.. that's my commute  . the winter is worse when it rains cause people drive like assholes and there's your occasional mudslides. there have seriously been times it's taken me like 2-3 hours to get to or from work on a 30 mile commute.

so i've lived in the bay all my life, but only in the SC area the last 10 years.. and i JUST went to the Mystery Spot for the first time a few months ago (it's like 10 mins from house haha). it was a fun time at a random spot (pardon the pun) in the Redwoods (how bout those trees?). funny college kid guides, and place tripped me out more than i was expecting. kinda gave me a headache and felt totally out of it tbh. but hey! i got my Mystery Spot bumper sticker after all these years.

@Chinaski yeh my wife’s brother and his wife live in SJ. So nice big suburb house for us to crib up in for free. SC boardwalk was kinda gross but wasnt too bad . Their arcade is ass as well as the food but the weather was nice, lines not too long,and they had “summer nights” deal for $20 unlimited rides wristbands. The usual $50 is highway robbery for that place. 1st time I went to mystery spot I got so messed up I almost pulled over and ask my wife to drive going back to SJ. This time I was careful not to get too woozy. And got my sticker this time which is going on the west side of the Yakima cargo carrier. That’s a cool summer job for college kids. Our girl had my 10 yr old belting out laughter and me chuckling. 

My favorite part as a dad was enthusiastically calling out the temperature as it was rapidly dropping as we got up and down the hill. 89! We’re in the 80s guys! 79!   74! That’s a 20 pt drop in 20 minutes of driving!!! Haha. I’m such a fuckin dork. 

Yeh that’s a windy commute! Glad we avoided any car crash traffic.

I think we’ll try to have most official league justices conducted through the Sleeper chat, just because I know not everyone is always on Discord or the forums.
