Just found they have a new Mutant Football League game on steam. I played the demo and it’s pretty good fun but I don’t think I’ll pick it up. I’ll probably just stick to the demo and when I get a urge I’ll just play a pick up game.
I was always a bigger fan of Mutant Hockey League so hopefully they remake that next.
Another sports game worth remaking is NHL Hits. Tons of fun with a 3 on 3 gameplay where the goal was more absolutely blasting your opponent into the glass and knocking them out. Tons of fun. They also had all these weird characters...
In observance of Opening Day, I think I'll play some MLB The Show tonight. Is there a way to change the settings so the other team is constantly throwing beanballs?
Those games are really fun. This was actually free on the Epic store a few weeks ago. I know a lot of people don't like the Epic store but their rotation of free games is legit. I've only bought a handful of games on it and my library is full of pretty good games.
Hi guys. Not a gamer, but I have been finding zen during quarantine in Animal Crossing New Horizons. I know there have to be some fellow Bald Movers out there enjoying that chill island life. Anyone up to exchange friend codes?
I have a bad habit of getting bogged down hunting collectibles and side missions in open-world games, so both Horizon: Zero Dawn and Red Dead Redemption 2 had been sitting there unfinished for quite so time before I knocked them both out this weekend. H:ZD has to be one of my favorite games, despite the story only half landing. The old-world mystery is a 10/10, but the Carja war is pretty uninteresting even in the finale. I really enjoyed some of the side quests in the DLC content, in particular.
With RDR2 I finally plowed through the epilogue. Hugely satisfying, though not quite as compelling, let's say, as the end to the first game. Without being too spoilerly, it's odd to get the "happy ending" here in a prequel, knowing where the story really ends. After the last mission, I realized you can just do chores on the farm for eternity and I was like, "yes, just let me stay here." Even the teasers in the credits are really poignant. What a game.
After them I played the first Uncharted, since the trilogy was a free game a couple months ago. Never played this because the protagonist seems so generic, and he pretty much is, but the game itself was phenomenal. Really holds up for a 2007 game. It's got such a relentless pace with the linear level design eliminating all exploration, the way the "levels" just blend together, and how the action set-pieces are woven so seamlessly into the game. It's hard to stop playing once you start. The last few stages are pretty harrowing, as well, though the final boss fight was overly scripted to the point of irritation.
Not sure what to play next...I know I need to get through The Last of Us, but that's potentially too stressful and emotionally draining for me, so I'm kind of more interested in doing Uncharted 2 and 3 if they match the tone of the first.
@ken hale Uncharted 2 is one of the greatest games ever made and 3 was pretty meh. If you’re even “thinking” about playing part 2, then get on that. That game has some of the best set pieces in gaming history.
free ps4 games this month are Uncharted 4 and Dirty Rally 2.0. I can't invest time into something like Uncharted right now but I could go for a new race car game. Haven't played one of those in ages....will download tonight. Looks really good!

Unfortunately they aren't available until next week. It's always the first Tuesday in a month.
Uncharted 4 is amazing. It is kind of long but it might still be one of the best looking games on PS4. I have also been wanting a good driving game for a while. I want a good open world driving game actually. I really want something in the vein of Smugglers Run. Anyone remember Smugglers Run? Something like that or like an ATV Off Road Fury. Something that is just a giant open world with hills and roads and jumps and isn't held to just race courses.

I'm assuming you've played Burnout Paradise but even so you should just play that again. Forza Horizon 4 was pretty good for what you're describing too

Paradise does scratch that itch a little. I do want a little more off roady type stuff. I am a Sony dude but honestly the only game series that really makes me want an Xbone is Forza and the Forza Horizon series.
I’m not a big keyboard mouse player so it’s tough going right now but I’ll get through it and actually start to rack up some kills.
If I can get good at this I think I’ll pick up Hell Let Loose which looks amazing but their Asia servers apparently suck since they are in early access

I used to be a Sony guy until my buddy brought over Halo shortly after it was released. I completely jumped ship after that and Halo has been my main jam ever since. While I haven't played all the Forza games, it is a pretty damn solid series.
Someone said something about the Dirt series earlier and 100% endorse that series as well. I love me some rally racing. Shit gets your palms all kinds of sweaty. I'd absolutely love and be scared shitless to sit shotgun with an actual rally racer like Tanner Foust or anyone really but not have to do the turn by turn commentary.
Finally dug into the Shadow of the Colossus remake and man, it is pretty but that camera kinda sucks sometimes. Took the first two Colossi down and I remembered why I stopped playing this game, I think I feel too bad for those big lugs. I mean, I guess they are evil but as I am stabbing them in the head and they begin their death throes, I feel kinda guilty.

Not to sound pretension but this game makes COS and BF play like Sesame Street.
It’s still in early access but it’s got a ton of promise and it’s the most fun WW2 game I’ve ever played that requires real teamwork. You have to play with your units and there’s no way around going solo. Especially with the tanks as they need a driver, gunner and commander.
Plus the one shot one kills is awesome and the maps are just gigantic but very well done so you’re not running forever. And the town battles are awesome as each building can have troops in them and the street fighting is bloody and dangerous.
Highly recommend. If anyone else has it here let me know I’d love to play.

I already have the first 3 on PS3 and Arkham Knight, but I love them so much I figured I might as well play them again and get some more trophies!
I find I'd rather play those than Spider-Man, but this might get me in the mood to go back to that, as well.
I have actually been wanting to reinstall that for a while. I loved the whole Joker storyline in that game. Really cool stuff.

Playing that game will really make you appreciate rallying, though. Those drivers are nuts.
... Keep playing. You're not wrong.
