I bought Quantum Break so The Handsome Collection is on the back burners. I'm hoping I can get Just Cause 3 on the cheap in a little while. I want to get the Division but I'm going to wait till more stuff is released
@michielterlouw i played the demo from EA ACCESS for Unravel. I think it was only the first 2 levels. It is def a visually stunning game
It's made in Sweden, I think. Which is a bonus for us, seeing as we live in Finland: the environments, the types of trees, plants, animals, objects.... It all feels really close to home. Best moment in the game so far was when we were walking somewhere deep in a swampy forest and suddenly a giant moose towered over our tiny character, sniffed it a little, and then continued on its path. My daughter and I both watched with our mouths open.
Unravel is very, VERY gorgeous. And that moose moment is seriously cool. I had some real issues with the physics of the game which had me about ready to drop it for a while. But its a super fun atmospheric game that hits chords with both adults and children.
Killer Instinct (on Xbox One, also available on Windows 10 PC) which is, in my opinion, the best fighting game on the market. It's just started it's third "season," so we will be seeing new characters and game modes dropping every month from now through July or August.
Dark Souls III (on Xbox One, considering buying it on PC as well). This series is probably the absolutely best action/RPG series along with the Diablo or Elder Scrolls series; Diablo is great for mass casualty hack and slash, but Dark Souls plays a bit like a strategic/fighting game and has a lot of risk and tension, plus a great sense of discovery, challenge and progression.
The Division (I have this one on PC). A lot of fun to be had playing with my buddy.
I also just got access to the Gears Of War 4 multiplayer beta, and have been playing Rainbow Six: Siege, Fire Emblem Fates, and a few other games on and off as well.
Man did The Division dry up for me faster than Destiny did, hopefully I can get back to it one of these days. I've been really into Fallout 4 again lately, these two small DLCs were just what I needed and I can't wait to see what next month big expansion looks like.
Also doing some Dark Souls 3 but I'm shit, I got really good and into Bloodborne so I figured I could get into Dark Souls but the skills haven't transferred very well for me personally, I'm a fan of the quicker pace that Bloodborne has.
Fallout 4 controls my soul still. Working the DLC's and also waiting on the next one. Heard a rumor that a bunch of content might be in the works and they said if you bought the season pass that it all would be covered by it. This year seems to be the year the bombs fell.
@Heff I'm playing Dark Souls III on the PC and it looks and performs great on my machine. Just out of curiosity, is it running at 30fps on Xbox or 60?
And I agree that it's the best in the genre. It's actually my favorite series of all time and I am absolutely loving this final installment. I have not been this engrossed in a game since the first Dark Souls and it's a major improvement over DSII. Since its release, It's basically all I've wanted to do with the limited free time that I have.
I returned Dark Souls 3 via steam refund because I got hit with the Firelink shrine bug. Game crashed everything I entered the hub, basically made the game unplayable.
Currently playing GTAV on the PC, Breath of Fire on the SNES, and slowly working my way through Twilight Princess HD on the Wii U with my kids.
i finally got rocket league although i'm still getting my toes wet with it as far as my ability to do play it with any skill whatsoever. i was pretty sure there was something to it judging from the popularity.
the past week or so when i can i've been playing life is strange, mostly just because it's the only game i can play that my wife will pay attention to and sort of play with me. i do it intentionally of course, just starting it up while she's doing other things nearby, but she never fails to get pulled in. sort of mixed feelings on the game itself but that part of it makes it really pretty fun for me, i usually play games solo in our house. i played stardew valley for a while previously for a similar reason but that was with my 8yo daughter watching/helping.
Just finished the uncharted collection and now just filling in time with black ops 3s new map packs while waiting for uncharted 4 in a couple weeks!
How are those new map packs? CoD games frustrate me to no end, but it is a prime way of socializing for my friends and I. And yeah, Uncharted 4 can't get here quick enough. If enough other Bald Movers are interested we should try to organize some online play.
As for what I am playing: Doing a ton of Iron Banner stuff for Destiny and splitting my time with a smaller platforming game called Tower of Deadly Monsters. Its a super bizarre game that pretends like you are playing your way through old 40s sci-fi films. You fight dinos and aliens and the like, but everything has a really fuzzy, grainy old-timey look. You also get equal parts funny and irritating narration by the "director" of the movies. I am not really recommending the game, but it oozes atmosphere if nothing else.
I have gotten into Dark Souls hard since it came out. Much like Bloodborne I've finally found my footing and I'm slowly making my way through. I've only gotten the first 4 bosses completed but slow and steady right? Really just in a holding pattern until Uncharted 4.
What's everyone think of the Modern Warfare remaster that's coming with this years annual CoD? I love Modern Warfare 1/2 so I'm stoked to be able to get back into it. Apparently the online will only come with 10 maps so hopefully as DLC comes out for this years CoD they will include some more MW maps. The only thing I don't like about this is apparently you only get MW remaster if you by the $120 version of whatever this years CoD is. Fuck I just want the MW remaster so I might wait and see if they sell that separately.
My son saw I had the Jurrasic Park Telltale game in my Steam library (bought it on sale years ago and forgot about it). We have been playing that and I have to say it is way better than I thought it would be for an early Telltale game.
The first chapter actually happens cocurrently with he first film (no cameos by the Jurrasic Park characters /actors but they have some clever ways of having it be almost cameos).
It is a way better sequel than imo Lost World or 3, and gives great back story. Hell somehow it even manages to set up some of the Dr Wu stuff from Lost World, coincidentally, unless the writers of that film were fans of the game.
I highly recommend for anyone who is fans of the interactive Telltale genre or Jurrasic Park.
@WonderedObject hell yes! I had been wanting to play Tropico for a while glad it was free. It's very cool, I love these type of games but it's rare to get good ones on console, wish we could get Civ V on PS4. We've had a good couple months with PS+ in my opinion. Last month we had Zombi, another game I had wanted to play for a while, hopefully were far enough alon in the console life cycle that we'll start getting more AAA style games, not that I'm against the indies.
@Garthgou81 20 minutes until I'm off work and I'm heading straight for that sweet Uncharted 4. I'm scared that games going to blow my PS4 since games like The Witcher make it sound like a damn jet engine.
I got into Dark Souls 3 pretty heavy but I've put it down and really gotten into Risk of Rain, damn that game is fun. It's cool on PS4 but it fits perfect on the Vita, it's my lunch break/laying in bed game right now. I've actually also really got back into Minecraft since one of my sons has gotten into it recently, playing that on the Bone.
@Drew It's amazing how easy it is to play on console. I'm having a ton of fun. I was also lucky enough to download Zombi the final day. Not sure how I almost missed it. Are downloaded games a problem for you when it comes to a loud PS4? Every single one that I've downloaded (Last of us, Everyones gone to the rapture, Tropico 5) all seem to get my PS4 ready for liftoff. Not trying to start a console war (even though I have both) this is what I hate most. The fact that my ps4 gets ridiculously loud sometimes. Might have a defective one. Who knows.
@WonderedObject I only have downloaded games so I can't really compare it to disk based games, I was surprised how loud Everyones Gone to the Rapture made my system. When did you get your PS4? I got mine a month or so after launch and besides the loudness of the system it won't keep microphones connected, I don't know if the early/launch systems had some defects or what. My buddy has a PS4 that's dead silent and he got his about a year or so after they came out.
@Drew I want to say I got mine about a year after launch. Everyones Gone to the Rapture was a terrible experience because the game relied on the environment and sound but all I heard was my console lol. Great game though nonetheless. Disks are not that much better for me. It'll be quiet for a bit but man it gets loud in no time at all.
Chapter 11 of Uncharted 4 is the greatest section of any Uncharted game. Just wow, I'm glad I stayed radio silent on this because I know they showed that section as demos at events. I'm up to chapter 16 and have had some things I was predicting come true so I'm very interested to see how this wraps up. The multiplayer is such a blast, Naughty Dog truly is one of, if not the greatest developer making games today.
I've been a big Uncharted fan in the past and would really like to play this one. But sadly no PS4. And I'm waiting to hear if Sony is in fact releasing an updated version of the PS4 before breaking down and buying one. Glad to hear it's awesome, though.
@WonderedObject Wow, I pr-ordered my PS4 and got it immediately at launch from Amazon, and I've never heard it being distractingly loud. I had a first gen PS3 that got hot and loud as hell, by comparison my PS4 is dead silent.
Do you have pets? Do you keep it in a cabinet? I'd crack open the cover and make sure the fans and vents are clean, spray it with compressed air as needed.
Anyway I got to play Uncharted 4 for one day before having to go on a week long business trip, I'm playing on crushing difficulty so I only got to chapter 9 or so, looking forward to finishing it up when I get home.
Doom is so, so good. It's nice to play a shooter about shooting. No reloading, no cover, no regenerating health, just glorious power-ups. The melee finishers feel a little out of place but so far I think they make it better.

Also the game that's the new craze and one of you guys tried it but didn't care for it. I don't think it was Stardew Valley, but it could have been.
And yeah Jim did not like Stardew Valley, if memory serves.
