Guys! You MUST start coverage on HBO's Euphoria
Ok, so I have seen the first 3 episodes of Euphoria now, and I really have to say that I've never seen anything like it ever on TV.
The show is visually very well done, the story is creative, and the characters are all really compelling. My taste in TV is very similar to most people here in the forum, and I am not kidding when I say this show is groundbreaking on several fronts and deserves your attention.
I am the father of 3 boys all pre-teen or teen, and I feel like this is the first show I've ever seen which might come close to giving me a really accurate portrayal of what high school could be like now if you focused on the gray areas - drugs, porn, peer pressure, sexual reality. Again, as a father, this is all just both amazing and horrifying at the same time.
The ACTING. Zendaya is a legit star - she is devastating in this show. Really heartbreaking. She's surrounded by an excellent cast as well and I feel sure that some of these folks will be given awards for this.
Jim and A Ron, you guys would really benefit from covering this on it's own, but I'd throw out a challenge: you need a female co-host AND (this is the hard part) a much younger person who can give you a bird's eye view of what's happening on the show. Find a very young YouTuber or similar to cover it with you and you will strike gold.
Big fan. Thanks for considering. I MUST hear your thoughts on this show!

Actually now that I think about it, I'm pretty sure that there was a student that used to steal cars when I was in middle school. Also I have a sister that just graduated high school that has hinted at similar stories Maybe it varies by location but yeah it seems like a pretty accurate portrayal.
That said, I don't know if I will continue to watch the show, despite that, and also the fact I enjoyed the first episode a lot. It seems questionable to me to sexualize teenagers, even if the actors themselves are adults, and even if they aren't intentionally sexualizing them, by proxy they are. I'll have to think on it some. It might be an important show to watch though. I dunno. Im conflicted.
