Argh, on relisten the Elliott Smith tune doesn't work at all (too into it being a good song with a title that fit, forgot to account that it didn't work with the context). Fix coming tomorrow, probably.

    3. Jolene - Miley Cyrus
    4. Paradise By The Dashboard Light - Meatloaf

    6. Town Called Malice - The Jam
    7. Cruel To Be Kind - Nick Lowe
    8. Take A Chance On Me - Erasure
    9. Big Iron - Marty Robbins
    10. Somewhere In My Heart - Aztec Camera

@Michelle I played Laid TO DEATH back in the day. Great song.
Omg yes, and Born of Frustration.  I had the Laid and Seven cd's and wore them *out*.
(Plus, you know, Tim Booth was *so* cute back then. :kissing_heart: )

Adding your new songs to the playlist!
Edit:  Miley Cyrus' Jolene isn't on there.  Sorry.

@Michelle I did love a man in a grungy house dress back in the 90s!

Thanks for trying. For what it's worth, My Freeze Ray may be attributed to Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog or some variation. It's a soundtrack tune, but to my surprise Spotify gives it to him directly.

Yeah, I searched several ways to find it.  Sorry.

There are a few covers in my list - have we ever done a "Covers that are better than the original" thread?

@Flukes I had a cousin the same age as me and when she first got her licence we used to drive around town blaring (as much as one can blare in a car cassette player) the Violent Femmes album that has Add It Up. God, that was an iconic album. Good times.

I love the Violent Femmes. They were past their peak of cultural relevance when I was in high school, but I was way into them.

I'm going to scrap the one that I made and move it out. I overthought it and where I'm going to keep if for my own purposes, I'd rather put something different forward. Anyone have an interest in any of the following themes I've been kicking around?

    -The Sadness Hammer
    -Travel far with Gee-tar
    -Sadly Unknowns
    -Summer to Fall
    -Driving at Night
  • DeeDee Adelaide
    What’s Sadly Unknowns?
    Travis

Ooh and what’s The Sadness Hammer?
    Travis
  • The Sadness Hammer is basically a big bum out fest. Ha!
Sadly Unknowns is basically a collection of bands that never really broke through. It'd mostly be in the indie/alt sphere.

@Travis, I'll remove your previous songs and add the new ones as soon as you have them ready.
@Flukes, I'll add yours to the Apple Music playlist tonight. :)

It sounds like what you've been hit with after you listen to Damien Rice's "O" album. :)
(Even though I love it ohhhhhh so much, it is a really sad record.)

Yeah, I love me a good sad song/album, etc. I'll have to give that one a listen.
Thanks for managing the Apple list. Very kind of ya.
