WandaVision Spoiler Thread
I figured this could just be the spoiler thread for the whole season.
All comics knowledge and Easter Eggs are free game to post here starting now:
Things I took note of but have no thoughts on yet:
Their address is 2800. No idea if it means anything but I’ll be looking out for any kind of significance.
Things I noticed:
Kathryn Hahn is Agatha Harkness. I think a lot of us pretty much figured this from just watching the trailers, but her going by the name Agnes pretty much confirms it.
The commercial with The Toastmaster 2000 from Stark Industries ominously beeping before finally producing the toast could definitely be interpreted as Wanda and Pietro staring at a Stark Industries missile expecting it to explode when they were kids.
The SWORD logo that Wanda sees on the toy helicopter in the bushes and later on the beekeeper who comes out of the sewer. SWORD is an off-shoot of SHIELD, and in the MCU stands for Sentient Weapon Observation Response Division.
Things I saw on the Internet:
During dinner, you can see that the wine they’re drinking is called “Maison Du Mepris,” which translates to “House of Contempt.” More interestingly, if you just start with “House of” and leave the last word untranslated, you pretty much get “House of M.” There’s even that big M on the neck of the bottle, giving it a subtle touch.
“My husband and his indestructible head,” Wanda says when Vision walks into a plate. We’ve seen that Vision’s head is in fact very destructible.
“You’re awfully dense, aren’t you Vision?” Ha! One of Vision’s abilities is being able to manipulate his density.
August 23rd can also be written as 8/23. But a date like that can also (perhaps more sensibly) be written as 23/8. And if you apply that 238 number to a Vision and Scarlet Witch friendly series like Avengers, you come up with Avengers #238, a story that dealt with an incapacitated vision trying to reactivate. The cover of that comic also features Monica Rambeau, who we know makes an appearance later on.
