Superman and Lois

Is anyone on here watching this show?  I posted a comment on lunch last week about how good this show is.

I'm loving it, the Superman Rebirth storyline by Tomasi and Gleason was excellent and that is where the TV writers are getting the bones for this series.

It's my favorite show on TV right now.  I'm a big DC fan and I get that, but its just far superior to the other superhero shows on right now. 

All the characters make sense, I really enjoy that Clark and Lois have a great relationship and work as a team to raise their sons and deal with the antagonists in the series.  Both are smart and capable and lean on each other.  Their sons are believable teenagers and aren't super annoying like in many TV shows. 

This isn't a Superman who doubts himself or his place in the world and he isn't underpowered like he was in the silly Supergirl crossovers.  They are aware of the Crisis from the CW shows, but I am beginning to think that this is a separate world entirely where Kara isn't around.  That's a good thing for this story.

It's on CW and HBOmax like I mentioned last week. It's definitely worth checking out.  

One thing I like about it is that it actually has some family values.  My foster daughter loves watching it and we sit down every week for it.  She's 17 so that's kind of a big deal.  I figured she would like the boys the best or Lois, but she said Superman was her favorite character.   I think it is a great thing to have a decent male father figure for kids to see on TV.

    I didn't even know that there was a Superman show on TV, I'll check it out for sure (I'm also a DC fanboy!)

    A few of us gave this show the positive reviews but can’t remember what thread it was on. I’m behind but will definitely come back here after I watch my next episode. Did I hear right its on HBO now?

    Correct!  It is available on HBOmax either the same day it comes out on CW or the day after.  Episode 9 airs tonight, but its supposed to have 15 for the first season.  I'm sure it will get a second season, I'm hoping they pony up and give it a full run for the first season IF the writers are ready. 

    They already had to stop production due to Corona, so it may be possible the writers have been working on this for a bit.

    I like the suit and the special effects have a Man of Steel look instead of the typical CW work.   Far better IMO.

    Very weary of DC shows these days, but I loved that run of comics so much that I'll have to try it out. My favorite part about the Superman character is how he draws out the best in people around him, and therefore dad Superman is best Superman.

    It's faaaaaaar better than any CW show.  I've not watched Loki yet, but its better than the other Disney + MCU shows so far.
