Has anyone else seen this? I’d love to get everyone’s thoughts. Here are a few of mine.
The Woodstock 99 Documentary posed a few theories about the source of all of anger from young (white, largely suburban) men in the late 90s and early 2000s.
Here’s one thing I didn’t hear. A lot of the music of the early 90s was fairly nihilistic. A common reaction of someone concluding that life is meaningless is anger and resentment (perhaps leading to violence).
Maybe we can draw a semi-straight line from Nirvana and Sound Garden (bands I still have great affection for) to Korn and Limp Bizkit.
