Yeah, Teeth is something else. I think you were right A. Ron. It certainly isn't the bad level of a movie like The Room which can be watched and enjoyed for the utter train wreck it is. But it is just good enough for people to be annoyed with it.
Oh man, who commissioned A Prophet? I owe them a drink.
Crazy awesome movie. It was on my mental list of movies I would commission. Now it's down to Fresh, Belly, and Tequila Sunrise. Fresh would probably make for the best content.
Oh, man. I just saw Magnolia on the internal queue. That's my current favorite movie of all time. You guys better watch out or we'll turn you into a full time movie podcast with all these commissions!
I just finished up the silence of the lambs podcast and wanted to clarify for ARon:
Demme rhymes with Emmy
Also, Anthony Hopkins styled Lecter's voice after Truman Capote and Katherine Hepburn: Capote is pronounced kah-poh-tee
I have seen this movie 25+ times beginning to end. It really is a masterpiece!
how did Lecter get the pen? Chilton visited him in his cell, left it behind on the bed, and Lecter took it apart and swallowed the piece he would need to escape the cuffs
But, HOW did he do that? He was strapped to a furniture dolly with like six different attachment points and the freaking hockey mask. Did they suddenly decide to remove all restraints from him in that room, and leave him unsupervised? Did he use the Force?

LOL!
I feel like Chilton forgot the pen on lecter's cot, and then Lecter grabbed it after he was released. I'm going to watch tonight and see. I've seen the movie so many times now but maybe I am assuming.
I haven't rewatched it yet, but didn't Chilton instruct the guard the to "clean up" Lecter and get him out? Which implies that the restraints were temporarily removed.
It was different and more detailed in the novel, of course. Lecter had the pen for a long time and was very patient.

*Fantastic*, brilliantly written, directed, and performed movie. This is where I fell in love with Philip Seymour Hoffman.

We're going to do 2 or 3 a week over the next 2 or 3 weeks to hopefully get caught up, because holy cow that's a lot of awesome stuff to do!
Because the latter sounds like a late '70s porn flick.
That could be even more interesting gun-control talk.
