Thank you for your suggestions Bald Move

I've just discovered Banshee(on to the 3rd season). Action TV at its best.
I'm sure I would never have given it more than a cursory glance on my streaming service provider. Except it rang a bell from one of your podcasts.

Who else has found great shows from Bald Move's podcasts?

  • I think the only show that I might not have watched if it weren't for Bald Move was Fargo. I wasn't really interested in a show that was an offshoot of a movie I felt was overrated, but I'm definitely glad I started. Some shows I would have gotten around to anyway but was helped by Bald Move recommendations are The Leftovers, Mr Robot, and Rick and Morty.

Yeah, Banshee is action TV done right. Shame about the finale season though.

Is it a show that you can stop after the earlier season? Or no? I've wanted to get into this one, but haven't taken the time to do so after I heard that the final season was a mess.

I started watching Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, House of Cards, and Game of Thrones exclusively due to the Bald Move podcasts. I was already a fan of a few other podcasts they had done at the time, so I knew that based on the accompanying podcast, I would enjoy the show. I'm trying to get into Westworld for the same reason, but haven't had any free time to move beyond the first episode. Really looking forward to it though.

Totally, the end of season 3 wraps up everything you care about. They could have not made the final season and it'd feel like a complete show. I think the first 3 seasons are free with Amazon Prime too.

Discovered and fell in love with The Leftovers thanks to Jim and A.Ron. Luke Cage too. Might get started on The Wire thanks to Bald Move as well.

The only show that I started specifically because of Bald Move was Mad Men. The Happy Hour remains my favorite BM podcast to date.

    Awesome. Thanks for this.

Edit: Just checked and the third season isn't available yet. But I assume its only a matter of time. Thanks so much, I always forget about Amazon.

I just watched the documentary series The Jinx because of Jim and A. Ron talking about it during last year's Baldies.

I also recently started watching The Leftovers because of their rave reviews of the show. I'm starting Season 2 and I'm excited to see where it goes. The only problem is that the guys love the show so much, they tend to get spoilery talking about The Leftovers on podcasts for other shows.
  • Will Jim and A Ron be taking nominations from the listeners for the Baldies this year?

I'm not sure it would matter. They usually list like 30 shows and break it down to 10. Any show they have watched will be on the list, and adding shows they haven't seen won't get very far.
