The Walking Dead, The Young Pope, I haven't seen the list of everything returning. I imagine Better Call Saul is in there. Final Season of House of Cards.
We're also planning on investing some time to do some Tell-tale style game play throughs.
We're also going to be announcing our late winter / early spring slate of Bald Movies within the next week or two.
I know it's an old game and I think Jim watched the Giant Bomb playthrough. But you guys should really consider playing Until Dawn. It's a Telltale like game that really fits the style you guys like to play of "be as big of an ass as you can" since its horror themed and everyone can die.
I assume the leftovers will be part of your analysis.
Leftovers doesn't come back until April (I think it's taking GoT old spot). Yes, they have talked about Leftovers and I believe still plan on doing it (as far as they have said so far).
Is there a period of the year with a shortage of material to cover - that - if The American were to appear in said window, it might get covered?? Perhaps if it were not to be up against no more than one of the standard Bald Move shows?
Come on, the Leftovers will happen. I can't imagine a series of events where we wouldn't cover it.
As far as The Americans, there is a lot going against that one. I don't personally enjoy the experience of watching it, I'm now 1.5 seasons behind again, and I don't know if Jim is passionate enough about it to make it happen. Though, who knows, if it came out and we say an otherwise 2 month dead zone... That doesn't tend to happen. I wonder when someone besides Netflix is going to figure out that the winter and summer dead zones could be a gold mine.
@A_Ron_Hubbard will we be seeing the return of On The Rock anytime soon? i know it was put on hold because of the crazy Dec Rush. Always loved having an excuse for mixing a drink on a Tuesday night
@FernNYC17 - We're actually working on reformulating that to be a live local show. I have no details beyond that, but it's something I'm pretty excited for.
Apparently this is "everyone asks @A_Ron_Hubbard stuff" time, so I might as well jump in: sorry if this has already been discussed before, but are the Baldies awards happening this year? I really liked the last one, but I haven't heard anything about it for a long time.

They mentioned it on one or more of the last casts they did they were debating on if it was worth the effort to put the "deliberation" casts up, since it was extra effort, that didn't get many ears. I believe the "final" (results) are still on though.

Yes, I'm working on setting up the "People's Choice" side of the Baldies right now, should be able to vote on nominees for the top categories by the weekend. As we alluded to last year, we're going to have the official Baldie (Patrick?) awards for Best Drama, Comedy, Male and Female Actor, as well as fan choices for those, and a bunch of side categories like last year. I expect the Baldies to come out towards the end of January, and will probably be a January tradition.
I don't expect 10+ hours of behind the scenes video, but we will have a bit of that this year.
Any new tv shows being added besides the young pope? Legion looks like its gonna be really interesting on fx. Still think Man in the High Castle needs to be at least addressed. Would allow great discussion no doubt. The Path would be fascinating with your guys life experiences plus its really good. Mayb just too close to home? Theres a lot of great tv coming so would be really cool if something new was added to the slate.
@WintersComingAfterFall the "side" shows may get covered in one of more BaldMove TV episodes. I know usually they would go over those then. If you think about it, their slate is about to get full again (Young Pope, BCS, TWD, etc). They might even have a surprise in there for us
Um @A_Ron_Hubbard not to be a pain but why does the couple who got to commission toxic avengers/transformers/natural born killers get to jump ahead of the line for commissioned podcasts when the rest of us have commissions waiting to be done and the list is 20 movies/shows long?
Wouldn't that be a better question to PM them on also, it was t a couple that did Toxic Avenger/Tranformers. That was a wife doing a birthday present (I think). We also don't know when they started or asked for the commission, so let's not rush to judgement. While I understand people might be upset/frustrated that "their" commission didn't get done 1st, I can see why the guys did those 2/3 when they did.
Don't think so, I am of the opinion that things are best discussed in public. And since doing 3 commissions off the regular schedule affects everyone who has a commission I feel it's best brought up here.
She was doing the double commission as a Christmas present, I have no issue with that and from memory they recorded the commissions around Thanksgiving. And it's not a judgement, I asked a straight forward question. If they say they did it as a favor because it was a Christmas present I have no issue with that. But you also have to understand that with the list being so long that people are waiting longer and longer to get a commission done and they aren't cheap. Being upfront and saying, "hey folks, we are doing a favor and doing these commissions. Sorry to make everyone wait" would have been nice.
Taboo needs to be covered too. Tom Hardy on tv is a must watch. I get theres shows they cover and inwatch walking dead but its so far down the list of quality and shows that I think need to be discussed. So much great tv right now. I jguess i just dont get the rule of not covering 1st seasons of shows. Rules out a lot of great content even knowing nothing is guaranteed to be great many still offer chance for great discussion.

Have you seen the trailer for the new Netflix show, Frontier? Has Jason Mamoa in it and will probably watch a couple of episodes to see how that is
