Agree! Also asking for a friend...
  • This is not good... I just finished a manhattan... with Dad's Hat rye but no cherry or twist, so maybe it doesn't count? but it does to me... I am rewatching episode 2 of westworld... which is great. Interesting trying to catch the little clues here and there.  and i think i will have a little  glenmorangie next...

Miss West, why is Sweden so far away?

@jhpark  Sounds like you had a good time with that drink! I'm glad for ya. Ah, you're watching Westworld. Good choice. Since it is no secret I am on the path to find some romance, (   ), I am actually watching Outlander right now. And having a beer, after my night out, lol.

As to your question why Sweden is so far away, I don't have a good answer. Geography sucks..? But, on a more positive note, I try to see the US as pretty close to me, considering modern airplanes.. what, NY is like 6-7 hours away? That's nothing...  If I would meet the man of my dreams through the "Bald move dating site"...  Short of that, a commute to work there every day, would be a bit much....   :)
  • I've never been to Sweden. Went on a short-hop Europe tour a few years ago, but stick with London and France/Germany/Italy. Have you been to other parts of the US? You're planning a trip to.. CA? I could search but trying to act natural ;)

I never watched Outlander. I enjoyed Highlander the Series. Since they both end with Lander, they must be similar shows? :)

Highlander was the victim of too-long seasons. 22 episodes/season, reached its stride in seasons 3 and 4, always had a few duds and a few fantastic episodes and the rest were pretty good... Of course, this was in the late 90s so TV was different from now.

Watching Bored to Death right now, with Ted Danson. on HBO. Not sure what to make of it yet, first episode. I think the main character is the last evil ex-boyfriend in Scott Pilgrim, and he's fun to watch... Like it so far.

  • @jhpark  Nice to hear you've been to Europe! There are a lot of great places to see here, but equally many tourist traps, so best thing to do is get a local guide.

I've been planning to go to the PNW at some point, I would love to see Washington and Oregon, not for their cities but for the scenery and perhaps hoping to see some quaint small towns aswell.. :) Would love to go to Idaho and Montana aswell, but that would be a longer trip..  perhaps it has to be parted into 2 trips!

Haven't seen Highlander the series, only the movie. Don't know that it would hold up today, not many 90's things do, even if they were great back in the day. :)

Outlander is probably good if you like historical fiction, drama, great scenery from Scotland, the old highlanders' way of life, sword fights, and ofc, romance. The first couple of seasons are the best, after that it goes a bit downhill, I find...

I don't watch a lot of comedy, one exception is the British gem, Black books. It's about a bitter man who hates people and drinks wine all day. I find it hilarious..

Is this going to turn into the Outland v Highlander thread?

I'll start: who wore it better?
