Y'all, don't let this show tear us apart. Everyone likes things differently. It's completely okay to voice those opinions or even disagree with someone and have a debate. That is literally the point of these forums.
But last week and already this week, people are starting to get real snippy and bordering on shitty with each other. Like I said, disagreeing is fine, just always remember Rule Number 1. DON'T BE A DICK! :-)
I scanned all the comments real quick so I don't think anyone already mentioned this but I had a realization last night watching the episode again. And it's also one of the reasons I love this show. The little details.and 5 others.
The last time Jon and Ned were together, Ned said "The next time we see each other, I'll tell you about your mother. I swear it." And then Jon finds out about his mother, IN FRONT OF A STATUE OF NED STARK. I love that so much.
This is sort of hard because I go to so many "shows" but I will use my best judgment in what equals a "concert."
First - Insane Clown Posse at Bogarts in Cincinnati I think 1997. Shut up, I was in high school! Haha! I did meet them after and still have the cd single that they signed.
Last - Paul McCartney - Rupp Arena in Lexington, KY. Absolutely incredible.
Next - The Slackers at Reggie's in November. (Conveniently, my band is playing the pre-show party next door (-:)
Best - The Roots at Bogarts in....2002 or 2003. It was the Phrenology tour. Cody Chestnutt opened the show and he of course did The Seed with them. Just an absolutely kick ass show. I actually saw Jurassic 5 there just a couple of weeks later and that could potentially be my number 2.
Honorable Mention - Godspeed You! Black Emperor in Boston. I loved that band for a really long time and they had been broken up essentially for years. They started touring again and I happened to be going to Boston to visit some friends. We go to the show, my face is properly melted, and as we're leaving the merch booth is JAMMED full of people. Like a suspicious amount of people. We thought about waiting but we said screw it and left. Didn't realize until a few days later that, SURPRISE! They secretly released their first album in ten years that night. Shiiiit!!!
Worst - Orgy in Cincinnati in like 2001. I went for a girl which didn't work out (in hindsight for the better) but the opening Vast, suuuuucked. And then we had to wait like 45 minutes for Orgy to come out, a band I don't really like and it was just a shitty show.
Seen the most - Probably the band Dope. And not on purpose. Back when we were going to metal shows all the time, they seemed to be on like every tour. Actually a fun live band but when I got their cd, it sounded awful.
Haven't seen but want to - Rage Against The Machine. The REAL band, not this Prophets of Rage shit.
