Can you imagine the knee-jerk rage and instant unequivocal condemnation that would come from someone normal whose personal “brand” was perverted by some sick guy who killed a bunch of defenseless kids?
I’ve not read Trump’s response yet, but I don’t have a lot of hope that he reacted the way I think he should.
I don’t know... I think overall if you’re paying money into an organisation whose views and practices you disagree with, that’s problematic. You’re propping them up and giving them tacit approval (and funds) to continue doing whatever that thing you disagree with is, so you’re part of the problem, however much you try to distance yourself by claiming to disagree with this, that and the other.
If that supposed 70% had the balls to walk, imagine the message that would send.
@sean.ray Mate, I get you’re trying to be the “reasonable” face of the anti gun control argument here, but there is no reasonable face. There is not one single reason on earth why there should not be tightened restrictions on who can and cannot have easy access to a deadly weapon, and there is not one single reason on earth why an average citizen - law abiding or not - needs to have access to a weapon capable of mowing down dozens of people in a short amount of time. End of story.
