It's such a weird feeling to really enjoy this episode and then see the Internet, and several different pods I usually enjoy, think that it's the worst episode of Game of Thrones.

I really agreed with Aron's point last week that it can be a bummer on either side of a fandom when you feel like nobody else agrees with you. It's not like I think anyone should be changing their opinion or anything, but I just wish we could talk about these things differently. Or maybe relate to fandom differently. 

I don't know what the solution is, but it just feels like I'm showing up to talk about whether Darth Vader or Obi Wan is cooler and instead everyone just wants to talk about how much Star Wars sucks. Maybe the solution is to just have my own opinions and not care about other people's opinions but that just feels lonely too.

This is one of the better season/series finales I’ve seen in a long time. 

Yeah, I was kind of bummed that Bald Move didn't seem to like it very much. I guess it just isn't everybody's thing. I get that it doesn't push the same buttons as S1 of True Detective, but I thought that was a strength of the show. I'm a little tired of some tropes in this genre like Bad Guys being Good Cops and creepy murder cults. 

This definitely goes with Broadchurch and Happy Valley on the list of shows in this genre that I love for being a little more grounded.

Yes, and I loved it! Definitely ready for Season 2. I like that the show's going on the proverbial road, and I hope we get to see Marcus and Ava have it out, because they're definitely due.
