  • It's such a great comic! I haven't started the show yet, but just remembered yesterday that Netflix was actually doing it and saw that it's out now. I'm really looking forward to it. Glad to hear that people seem to be liking it.
  • Carrie appreciated the shout-out: https://twitter.com/carriecoon/status/1223097423893090304?s=20
  • Oh, I loved that! Not gonna lie... I cried a bunch! The Leftovers/Carrie Coon reference was perfection. Nice little wrap-up with Seth Myers too. I’m looking forward to listening to the podcast over the weekend! I’m gonna miss this show!
  • That really is a bummer. I’m probably an outlier, but I very rarely binge a show right away. I like to parse it out over at least a few weeks. For someone like me, there’s no concern with getting all the podcast episodes right away. Podcastica has s…
  • If you missed it, there was quite a nice special on last week called "The Paley Center Salutes The Good Place." You can watch it on NBC.com I'm simultaneously super excited for this final season and dreading that it's almost over. At least we can re…
  • I hear Trump has a replacement in mind for Bolton: Seriously though... Bolton is garbage and a chicken hawk of the highest order, but Trump always manages to replace bad with worse, so what are we in for now? It worries me.
  • It's continuing to be really funny. Edi Patterson is hilarious as Judy Gemstone. She was great in Vice Principals too. Just heard her on Marc Maron's WTF podcast and she gave a terrific, fun interview. I also laugh every time Keefe is on screen. Eve…
  • Wow, it really crumpled that crane, didn't it? I'm in Central Florida and we were bracing for a hard hit. Spent all of last weekend stocking supplies, cleaning out the garage to bring our cars in, bringing in the furniture and every loose item from …

  • Finally caught up with this and really enjoyed the first episode! It's a great cast and I'm looking forward to seeing where they take it. Danny McBride really has a unique ability to play a total asshole who you just can't hate, and who you even fin…
  • Hot damn! Can’t wait!!! I read all the books between last season and the upcoming one. Super excited to see this!
  • lengmo said: Marci said: I was honestly fairly surprised at how many people I’ve seen commenting about how much better this season was than 2. While not literally true, season 2 felt like a retread of season 1, just bigger and loud…
  • I didn’t hate this season, but a lot of it didn’t really work for me like previous seasons did. I was honestly fairly surprised at how many people I’ve seen commenting about how much better this season was than 2. What I kept thinking was that almos…
  • Just finished the coverage of episode 3 and wanted to comment that during Will and Mike’s argument, when Mike says something about Will not liking girls, I think it's especially hurtful to Will because we know from earlier seasons that Will's own da…
  • I thought it was very good too. Great casting and performances, and just really well put together overall. I also got a kick out of Lin-Manuel Miranda playing Roy Scheider playing Bob Fosse. I don't know what the ratings were, but it didn't seem li…
  • For what it's worth (which probably isn't much), good to see my city's pretty right-leaning newspaper endorsing essentially anyone BUT Trump for 2020, on the day of his big kickoff rally here:https://www.orlandosentinel.com/opinion/editorials/os-op-…
  • Yep, it seems like a great call. I love when a show can go out on its own terms so the creators can wrap things in the way they want, rather than dragging it out too long or being abruptly cancelled without having time to properly end it. I will mis…
  • This is touching - Slava Malamud is translating someone's tweet that someone placed flowers at the base of statue honoring the liquidators, and it's the first time he's ever seen it done: https://twitter.com/SlavaMalamud/status/1136282169280749569G…
  • Kudos to @A_Ron_Hubbard for at least attempting to pull this person’s head out of their ass, and for having far more patience than I would have, and also for Bald Move’s inclusivity. I came for the TV talk, but I stay for the well-reasoned observat…
  • After telling myself I was going to read the books but lag behind the show so that I wouldn't put too many expectations on the show, I just went ahead and blew through all the books and novellas. I was enjoying them too much and just had to see what…
  • Interesting excerpt from this article: https://meduza.io/en/feature/2019/05/30/i-was-there-and-i-don-t-want-to-watch-this-anymore giving Slava Malamud's take on art, historical accuracy, and artistic license vs. propaganda: "When I was a sports jou…
  • Ha! Guillermo’s ancestry discovery... he’s great. And Laszlo referencing “the Jeebus man” in the stained glass windows. Also, I think Mark Proksch is so hilarious. Just seeing his pictures in the intro makes me laugh every time. I’m sad that the sea…
  • Yeah, The Leftovers was just such a masterpiece. I'm also a sucker for everything about Parks & Recreation and I really loved that one as well.
  • It took me a minute to realize that the lead werewolf was Dave (Arj Barker) from Flight of the Conchords. I was happy to see him!
  • It bothers me about as much as seeing British actors play Americans, which is to say it doesn't bother me at all, especially if they are good actors. I literally forgot about it about a minute into the show, just like they said on the podcast. I ha…
  • Oh man, that was a rough one to get through. I knew they would have to get to the pets at some point, and I've been dreading it. I had to just cover my eyes for a lot of it. I think it's so affecting because they trust us and we can't explain to the…
