One thing I was really confused about the prequels was the actual plan of the bad guys. I did not understand that whole Clone Wars thing. Recently, I rewatched AOTC for the first time and years and was über confused when Yoda said "The Clone Wars have now begun" at the end of the film. Like I thought the whole movie WAS the Clone Wars! The whole Count Dooku/ Palpatine/ General Grevious alliance really confused me as well. Also Hayden Christenson saying lines such as "I am haunted by the shadowed memory of our kiss" = BLECH. Padme, file a restraining order on his ass.
Hey Jim and A. Ron (and anybody else who wants to jump in), how do you feel about the Star Wars prequels? I was born in the late 90s, and viewed all the movies in sequential order. To me, it's all "Star Wars," although I can see the obvious difference in writing quality between the prequels and the originals. What did you think they'd be? What was it like when you first saw them vs. how you feel now? And if you didn't like them (like a lot people) was there anything worthwhile in them?
Thanks, and may the Force be with you, always.
