Its hard to enjoy a tv show or movie once you loose your suspension of disbelief. I think in the same way, it's hard to laugh at a comedian's work if you are offended or decided before hand that you are going to be offended. I thought it was funny, not Chappelle's best work, but it's still better than most of the specials on Netflix.
Half way through the show I realized I had 25 minutes of dvr and I used it all up fast fowarding before the end. The Carl stuff was ridiculously boring and so were the greasy old man Rick visions. I've seen every episode of this show atleast once and I no longer have any emotional connection to any of the characters. I was more upset when T-dog died.
This is all from a male point of view but I've watched these shows with girlfriends and they seem to have enjoyed.
The New Girl (funnier than advertised), Party Down, Happy Endings, Insecure, Garfunkel and Oats, Atlanta, Flight of the Conchords.
If all else fails there is always the US version of The Office or The Simpsons.
