I watched the three episodes of Made For Love they put out so far and it's great. I'm really surprised at how fun and easy to watch it is given the subject matter.
  • What are you playing?

Pulled the trigger on a PS5 about a month ago and I’m experiencing whiplash from the vast differences in campaign lengths between Miles Morales and AC Valhalla. Can anyone here confirm that this game actually has an ending?

I beat it last week and my advice would be not to worry about it. Some interesting stuff does happen at the end but that game is way more about the journey and riding around on your a autopilot horse finding random stuff around the map. If you get bored, come back to it later, cause if you find yourself trying to rush to finish it you're not going to have a great time. The expansiveness is the main feature of the game.
  • If your PS4 clock battery dies, all your games die

This comes on the heels of the announcement they're shutting down various features (including buying games) for PS3 and PSP, so there are a lot of people poking at this stuff right now. I think the key part from a tweet referenced in the article

This error is because Trophies on PS4 require the internal system clock (the one you can’t see / alter) to be correct, so people cant change their PS4 date/time to make it look like they got trophies earlier than they really did. If your PS4 clock battery dies, all your games die

If that's true then yes, if your clock battery dies none of your stuff will work and it also mentions that if you replace the battery it needs to sync with Sony's servers to consider itself valid again so if those were shut off then you would be fucked. There's a couple things about this though:

    1. As long as you can replace the battery and Sony's servers are online, you should be able to get it running again.
    2. This issue seems to be designed to force the integrity of their trophy system. If they were to start sunsetting services, they could remove that clock sync requirement altogether. When connected hardware goes into end of life mode it's not uncommon to have a firmware update to unlock a lot of stuff like that that wont matter anymore
    3. If they shut the servers down, your games are useless anyway. There is already a massive problem with game preservation with how connected everything is. Even single player games nowadays will go and authenticate with something somewhere either every time you load it or on some regular basis. Not to mention how incomplete games are even if you have the physical disc, they seem to be shipping games 80% done now and finish it in massive day 1 patches.

  • Zach Synder Justice League

    1.  I didn't see enough of the movie to see the Batmobile  I've always been of the opinion that the Batmobile should be more like a fancy sports car that can reasonably blend in (but still stand out, ha!).  Like whatever car he drives when he picks of the Flash, that would be what I would use as the Batmobile.

It should be black, have a GIGANTIC hood, and wing things on the back of it. That's the image of the Batmobile burned into my head from when I was a kid, and as a nostalgic 30 something they are trying to pander to that's how I demand they make it.
  • Last Movie You Saw & What Did you Think

@Chinaski We rented it on amazon for 5 bucks. I initially rented it on youtube but it fucking blocked me as saying it was age restricted even though I have all that stuff turned off and I could never get it to let me play it even trying several devices so I have no idea wtf that's about. Amazon worked fine though.
