I'm glad Rian Johnson is seeing some consequences for treading all over someone else's ideas.

  • (Spoiler s8e4) Please explain to me what Cersei was thinking during the last scene?

Naval Scorpions are a whole 'nother ball of wax from castle defense Scorpions...

How can the Super Somehow Magicly Accurate Scorpions on a ship perfectly shoot a dragon moving in the sky a mile away but for an even bigger one on the castle it's out of range a hundred yards away?

    Just more inconsistent, dumb writing.

Dude, they have zombies and dragons and shadow babies....
Just chill on your military tactics and "realism"

I think the way they showed the scorpions on the ship was pretty believable. He had multiple men helping to quickly move him and reload. All the ships and the ones on the wall of King's Landing seemed to have the same setup as well.
My biggest issue is that scorpions are an established and known weapon in Westeros, since before Aegon the conqueror. Yet only 1 dragon has ever been killed by one (2 after tonight) and it was just a lucky shot that killed Meraxes, and they only now started using them this heavily?

Aegon would have never conquered the Seven Kingdoms if the scorpions were that effective against the fast and high flying dragons.

Even forgetting dragons, those scorpions things took out an entire fleet long range and were even more effective than cannon technology that I'm certain they dont have. Why would every fleet and every castle wall not have these things?

People in Reddit threads are saying that no one ever fought a White Walker - is that true?

Watching it streaming the day after on a Panasonic plasma at night and I can see quite a bit.  Crank the contrast to 100 and the brightness to 100 and whooooo baby, it's almost dusk out there.....
