Also, I’m really supposed to forgive Jurati?  And the Federation is so self satisfied despite the fact that the head of their military intelligence turned out to be a Romulan flag officer?

Okay, it's crazy conspiracy talk time right now.  Hear me out please.  I know this is unlikely, and I only half believe it myself.

The first currently known case of SARS-CoV-2 was November 17, 2019.  I believe this case has no connection to the Huanan Seafood Wholesale Market of Wuhan where this whole thing was believed to have started.  The next known case was December 1, with no known connection to HSWM.  The next group of 7 cases are believed to have originated between December 8 and 18, only 2 of which are linked to HSWM.

The above are facts.  Below, you will find more facts that are probably unrelated.

On November 1, 2019 I started feeling relatively unwell.  My symptoms were a sore throat.  Over the next several days, I developed a dry cough.  My throat continued to get worse and worse and a high fever set in.  I started off going to an instant care facility.  They tested for flu and strep and prescibed amoxicillan.
I went to see my PCP on November 6th.  The tested me for the flu and strep and both were negative.  The NP gave me a shot of Rocephin (strong antibiotic), and prescribed Clindamycin on top of the amoxicillan.  They also gave me a steroid injection to try and reduce the swelling in my throat.  They recommended I see an ENT specialist if it didn't get better in a few days.
Over the next few days, it continued to get worse and worse.  November 8th, I went to the ER because my throat had swollen so much I couldn't eat anything.  Drinking was excessively painful and I was severely dehydrated.  I was concerned it might swell enough to keep me from breathing.  The ER prescibed me opiods and prednisone (steroids).  They gave me several bags of IV fluids.  I think it was around 6.  They did an xray of my chest to make sure I had no pneumonia, and a CT of my throat.
Over the next 2 days my fever WITH alternating doses of Acetaminophen and ibuprofen tended to stay around 100.4-101, but would occasionally hit higher.  By 9/10, my fever had reached a high of 106 while I slept, but was quickly reduced to 103.6 with some ibuprofin and as much pedialyte as I could stand to drink.  By the 14th, my fever had subsided completely.
By the 17th, I felt well enough to return to work, though I still wasn't fully well.  My fever was completely gone, throat not too sore anymore.  Dry cough persisted, and even worsened.  My GF would consistently threaten to smother me in my sleep if I didn't stop coughing.  I had zero appetite, and eating anything would bring about a mild nausea.  Everything tasted considerably duller.
On or around November 20th, I started getting dizzy, and noticed when I stood up my vision would black out for a few seconds.  I have high blood pressure, managed with low doses of medicine.  I took my blood pressure and got 60/30.  I made an appointment with my PCP for 11/22, and skipped my BP meds the next few days.
November 22, my PCP is unable to get an accurate BP from me.  He tells me I need to go to the ER and get more fluids.  He's worried that as low as my BP is, I'm severely dehydrated and on the verge of having my kidney's shut down.  He said he couldn't believe I had driven there, or was even capable of standing with how low my BP is.  If his BP had been that low, he would have been unconscious.  I head to the ER where they give me 2 bags of fluid and give me an EKG.  They do some blood work to check my kidney functions.  Everything looks good.  They tell me I'm relatively healthy and just have to give it time and stay hydrated.  By this point, I have lost 30 lbs since the beginning of the month.
Within another week, I'm back to good in every way except for a dry cough, which persisted until a week or two into December.

The above are facts as accurately as I can recall them, backed up by records available from my PCP and my stupid smart-phone connected thermometer (where I tracked medicine intake alongside temperatures.)  Below is where I start to sound like a conspiracy theorist.

I think I already had Covid-19.  I was consistently told I tested negative for the flu and strep.  Antibiotics did absolutely nothing for this thing.  I was consistently told it was a viral infection, and it had to run its course.  All of my symptoms are reflected in the possible symptoms of Covid-19.  I drive Uber/Lyft in and around Atlanta, so I'm constantly exposed to people travelling from all over the world. Close exposure generally lasts from 15-75 minutes depending on where they're going, and they are always less than 6 ft from me.  This thing knocked me on my ass.  I almost couldn't get out of bed for 2 weeks.  If it was SARS-CoV-2, I would have been exposed somewhere between 10/17 and 10/30.  It will be interesting when antibody testing becomes readily available and I can see if I have the antibodies in my system, though I suppose I could have gotten it more recently and been asymptomatic.

FYI, this is much worse than the flu.  There are already of plenty younger people without medical problems who have to be hospitalized for COVID-19, things you almost never see for the flu.  It's really not all that pleasant a disease to get.

Hah, an eight star system must be something.  Read the novel the Three Body Problem, which is a fascinating read, for more info, but there isn't a mathematical solution for a three star system, much less an eight star system.
