I'm watching it with my partner who liked Ragnarok, but refused to watch any of the other MCU films. She's all in on this series though as they have done a great job in catching people up who never watched endgame. The first episode did so much heavy lifting, but thats turned out great, so good job showrunners!

I'm back in Baby! Thanks for the work around Josh and Aron.

The genie is out of the bottle now, it feels to me that the next 4 years is going to see more attacks on democratic processes, with Trump loyalists waging a guerrilla campaign. I hope I’m wrong, but history has lots of examples of exactly this sort of thing happening. Good luck US friends.

We’ve had no community transmission in months, only a few cases here and there with people coming back from overseas and going into quarantine. But over the weekend there were four cases all from the same family, one of whom works in one of the medi-hotels where travellers have been quarantining. They went shopping and out and about before realising they were infectious too.

It’s nothing compared to what US and UK and India and whatnot are going through, but it’s made me nervous about how easily it can get out there. I haven’t been out much other than work, but now I’m shutting back down again and not going anywhere I don’t absolutely have to for a while longer. Especially because no one here is social distancing, even though we are still supposed to be. :-/

Edit: Ugh, 17 new cases overnight from this cluster. It’s happening again. :-(
Yikes, I saw that news this morning. Hopefully the contact tracing will be successful and a lockdown can be avoided. Really rough timing for christmas though.

@bizmarkiefader Australia hasn’t been that big on mask wearing (though we’ve had a surge of new cases in Victoria so that state might start pushing it), but we also shut down almost completely pretty early on to flatten the curve. And even though most things have opened back up there are still social distancing rules in place and the borders are still ostensibly closed (anyone coming in to the country and to some states has to quarantine in a hotel for 14 days).

We’ve had about 7700 cases and 104 deaths so far. I know we have one tenth of America’s population, but we have a hell of a lot less than one tenth of their cases/deaths. Trump has a massive chunk of 128,000 deaths on his hands.
Well, we’ve jumped to about 9500 cases and had another couple of deaths since I wrote this. Victoria has had large daily numbers (for us), but they have also been doing huge sweeps of testing by door knock in some areas, so not surprising. Still makes me nervous even though South Australia hasn’t had a case in a couple of weeks. Our border with Victoria was due to reopen on July 20 but that won’t be happening.

How are you doing, @Ben? Are you in the locked down area?
    Hey Dee,
I'm not, I actually live on the Sunshine coast now, but haven't worked out how to change my location on here. I do have lots of friends still in Melbourne on lock down. On of my friends is 8 months pregnant and has had to do all online anti natal classes, with some talk of the Father not being allowed to stay at the hospital once the baby is born. Up here in queensland though things are slowly getting back to normal, but the floods of grey nomads coming over the border makes me very nervous, especially after the renewed cluster in NSW over the weekend. I'm lucky enough to be able to work from home so I will continue to self isolate too. I feel for you all in the US though, stay safe!
