  • Westworld - 304: The Mother of Exiles

^ Bernard thought he was a real guy too.

And, how is it that Maeve has so much control over, I dunno, the Grid? Did awful-accent-French-guy have her “enhanced?”
Perhaps the wireless network tech Maeve used in those parks she was in to control hosts is the same tech used in the real world/futureworld.  I'm wondering, after her bad loss to Mulores, if Maeve's host will get some physical upgrades or allies as she's clearly not going to be much use to Serac if she keeps coming in second in fights.

But then there's the self mutilation, the Hale leakage, etc. which makes me say, IDK, maybe Carole Baskin's missing husband is in there.
You sound so confident you know things. Joanna Robinson confident. I’m jealous.
:-) Just my guesses.  Agree that Decoding Westworld is a great podcast for Westworld.

The Bald Move guys keep bringing up the possibility of two timelines.  I wonder if one of the timelines is when Delores as Delores is running around in between sessions of reconstructing Bernard's personality, and the other timeline starts once Delores lets Bernard leave.  So a month or two difference?  Just enough to make the show more confusing on first watch.

Crazy how Westworld’s security protocols allow for random beach drop-offs via old Chinese fishing boats.
Maybe Bernard, as a host, does not set off the alarms if he's entering the area.  Sounds crazy but... "The system design did not include a consideration for jaywalking pedestrians," the report said.  https://www.npr.org/2019/11/07/777438412/feds-say-self-driving-uber-suv-did-not-recognize-jaywalking-pedestrian-in-fatal-

I watched the available episodes and am looking forward to the rest.  It would be nice if Bald Move covered the show.  It's a slow burn but interesting.  Normally I stay away from tech/computer shows like this but it's sufficiently [self-censored for spoilers] to not bother me.

  • The Witcher - SPOILERS

The Bald Move podcast on the show convinced me to give it a try and I enjoyed it.  More modern in tone and higher fantasy/magic than most of GoT (TV show) so it doesn't feel like a GoT retread.  Cast did a great job.
