These new quotes from Ryan Murphy give me hope that the "show in a show" format will be changing halfway through the season, or at the very least that nothing is as it seems on the surface and the characters being interviewed aren't as safe as we think:This paragraph just convinced me of my theory I mentioned last week...
“Even though the subject matter has gotten out, it’s irrelevant because nobody gets what we’re doing,” says co-creator Brad Falchuk. “No matter what you think it is, it’s not that. Then, episode 6 comes and you’re like, ‘Wait! What happened?’”
Adds Murphy, “It’s a hat on a hat on a hat on a hat that we’ve had to protect.” While Murphy thinks the twist separates the season into two halves, Falchuk considers it three unique stories. He says, “It’s like [episodes] 1-5, 6-9, and 10 is its own thing.
The thought of AHS wrapping up this story and beginning a brand new story (possibly 2) really excites me because again, I just can't see how this one story will hold up all season. I feel they have tested this in past seasons as well by having actors play completely different characters within a season. Best example I can think of right now is Hotel when Finn Wittrock was Tristan and then Valentino and Sarah Paulson played Sally and the Psychic lady (whatever her name is), maybe that was the only season they did that? (Not sure if that is the best comparison but it makes sense in my head..haha)
Either way I remember it throwing me a bit but I was completely for it, if Murphy and Falchuk can do this right it will be completely different from every other season and I think it's kind of fun even with its campiness...holding on to that theory until episode 6!

I was trying to avoid spoilers because I actually felt an ounce of excitement at the end of Sunday's episode. The stupid cliffhanger has always been in the back of my mind but I really really wanted to give the writers the benefit of the doubt. After listening to the podcast this morning and hearing the finale could and probably will be cliffhanger, I can honestly say that I will no longer be invested in the show and will only be watching next season just to see how they fuck up the Negan story arc and I don't even know if I would make it through next season.Hoping and praying for a miracle but come on guys...it's the walking dead...
