What wowed people about The Force Awakens?
The scale and scenery of Rey exploring the Star Destroyer on Jakku. The North by Northwest Tie Fighter chasing down Finn and Rey, when she flips the common "damsel in distress" trope, and their subsequent escape in the Falcon. The lightsaber fight with Ren, Finn, and Rey. Finally, the emotional impact of Han's death and Rey pulling the light saber out of the ice.

For TFA, I often well up when Rey is eating outside her wrecked ship, looking at the desert. The perseverance in the face of loneliness resonates with me, and John Williams's score certainly helps.
The first few Rey scenes of TFA seem to be a common impact for people. Which makes sense. It's still one of the strongest sequence of the sequel trilogy. However the single most mind blowing scene for me in TFA was Rey's Instant Bread. I could watch a gif loop back and forth of that for awhile.

Jim said we could have done without Michelle Pfeiffer.  No words, man. No words.

Thank goodness this jackass is getting a tax beak on his inheritance from daddy Koch. Nothing like a Koch heir selling shirts with money bags printed on them.

Nevertheless, I did crack up when he said, "discoteca," because all I could think of was:

This guy is really something. A billionaire's son who is suing his ex-fiancée for his ring plus damages.
I was going to ask upon watching the video if this was the same guy that is suing his ex-fiancée for his ring plus damages.

    Those shirts are...unique.

Innovative ideas are all about being unique. Good ol' Wyatt.
  • Disney Buys Fox

On the Marvel perspective, I like that there's a clearer avenue for the Fantastic Four (or rather specifically, Dr. Doom) to join the MCU but I really hope they don't stop what Fox had been doing with Legion, Logan, and Deadpool. I would want them to treat Fox like Miramax or I will be sorely disappointed if they disney-fi the Fox-Marvel stuff.

Pretty cautious about this but at least we're one step closer to this crossover:

This game is batshit insane. Fantastic for TV but terrible for my health.
