Big day for our big boy President ... Nobel Peace Prize winning North Korea summit cancelled, and now he can get back to the important things, like complaining about the NFL.
@JaimieT I also love time jumps ... I get downright giddy when a show I like unexpectedly does one. No exception here!
The Bobbie-Alex flame is alive, he's officially single ... "you can fly me anytime" lol
Anyone else read "Seveneves"? That's one of the best recent depictions I can think of where very technical details about delta-v and orbital mechanics was a big part of the plot and done really well.
The final scene of this episode certainly paid off the title in a disgusting way.
Witch Hunt!!! Part 34954958
"Donald Trump's personal lawyer, Michael Cohen, received a secret payment of at least $400,000 (£300,000) to fix talks between the Ukrainian president and President Trump, according to sources in Kiev close to those involved. The payment was arranged by intermediaries acting for Ukraine's leader, Petro Poroshenko, the sources said, though Cohen was not registered as a representative of Ukraine as required by US law.The meeting at the White House was last June.Shortly after the Ukrainian president returned home, his country's anti-corruption agency stopped its investigation into Trump's former campaign manager, Paul Manafort."
@A_Ron_Hubbard @Jim I think the use of C.R.E.A.M. was mostly a nod to the fact that "Enter the 36 Chambers" is a hip-hop kung fu homage - so it was fitting to show up in a climatic Shogun World scene (even though Shogun World is Japanese and Hong Kong cinema is Chinese).
And specifically the name of the album was taken from the movie "The 36th Chamber of Shaolin" which was about a revolution and the protagonist learning kung fu to gain vengeance (seems like a parallel to Maeve's story - she is using learning the art of mesh-network-fu to gain vengeance and freedom).
As for the use of C.R.E.A.M. specifically - it probably had the best hook that could be adapted musically into the show.
