This thread will assume that you have read all 8 books of The Expanse!! Those spoilers will not be tagged here.

With the final book of The Expanse coming out on Nov. 30, there are plans for a book club on the BM discord. Since not everyone has adopted the Discord server, I thought we should also have a thread on the forums for discussion of this final book.

While we'll have 4 threads on Discord, judging from previous book discussion threads on the forum one on here should be enough. Please remember to tag all spoilers for Book 9 (preferably with a note on up to which chapter it spoils)!

There will be some, but I don't think you should expect the show to resolve that storyline by the end of the season. 

That's kind of a bummer, if they weren't going to finish it I almost wish they had changed season 4 and maybe fleshed out some of the other parts that are more relevant.

This is what makes the whole 'final season' deal so strange to book readers. Why introduce the plot elements in season 5 and 6 if books 7-9 will never be adapted? Clearly they're leaving it as a possibility but I guess show-only folks will just have to go pick up those books if they want answers (unless they announce something before the seasons ends)

It’s been 2 whole years since we got some Ryan Murphy AHS!  Awesome of them to drop a whole 1 hr 42 min on us. I can’t wait to see the alien element get introduced next week. 

Are aliens going to be introduced next week? Feels like that will be in the second half of the season. "Red Tide" is probably just focused on the blood-sucking creatives storyline.
