If they wanted to trade for him, then clearly they like what they see and he may factor in long term. Like I said, this might make more sense after Nino and Trocheck are off the books in '22 and there's plenty of cap space. My guess is he performs extremely well with the new roster and $6.1 million won't look as bad. Aho, Kotkaniemi, Staal, and Necas are pretty damn good. You take that over anything the Habs are throwing out.I also read that Carolina can sign KK to an extension at a lower AAV closer to $4 million. If that's true, I guess he's sticking around and I better learn how to spell his name. @CretanBull
I've really enjoyed the badass discussions and thought there should be a thread for those not on the fancy Discord. I like the idea of another "C" and may I present... the Cataract Category. How has the badass aged? Exhibit #1 is probably JCVD. First of all, the aging self-referential JCVD should gain a lot of ground on charisma. There was some slanderous shade on the Bloodsport podcast that he never developed his craft, which makes it clear you haven't seen JCVD or finished Van Johnson. Back on topic, the 60 year is fixing to star in a Netflix movie and he's doing full splits and still kicking ass. Most of the badasses are human wreckage at 60, but not this guy. That's got to be worth Cataract points. Also, you guys couldn't remember if Nathan Fillion was badass in BTVS? Oh, he just ragdolls two Slayers, toys with Spike, kills several trainees, and gouges out Xander's eye for fun in under 5 minutes.
CretanBull said:The whole Tampa salary cap situation is BS, Carolina got screwed.I figure this is worth a bump after an 8-0 blitz. The math said Tampa would have to lose key guys after they won the cup. Johnson was actively shopped and they weren't sure if Cirelli could be resigned. Not only did they retain like 95% of their roster, they also added depth and got younger. The guy with "season-ending" surgery avoided the cap and is now on a Gretzky-esque pace for playoff points. I hope they go back to back and break all kinds of scoring records to fully illustrate how bonkers this thing is.I guess there's still time to jump on the Habs bandwagon.
