  • Episode 201 & 202 - "unm4sk-pt1.tc" & "unm4sk-pt2.tc"

Something rubbed me the wrong way about the dog.  I looked closer and it's the same shot.  Maybe cropped a little tighter during the second meeting, but the feet, hair, shirt, hands, and everything else is the same.  It's either a clue that maybe Craig Robinson isn't real or it's a continuity error, in which fuck you Sam Esmail.  You can't write a show like this and have goofs like that.

  • Penny Dreadful: Season 3 Episodes 7 and 8

I bawled during the "Blessed Dark" intro.  The music was overwhelming and the new titles pretty much confirmed it was the series finale.  Goddamn it.  I don't even know what happened.  Vanessa died and Dracula is still running around or something.  I need to dry the tears off my keyboard before something short circuits.

I like that they're just trolling mythology at this point.  What do you think would happen if Dracula walked into a house of mirrors? Nothing apparently, his reflection was fine.  I hope Dr. Sweet and Vanessa's next date takes place in a garlic shop to keep the joke running.

A lot of what the fucks with John Clare.  You start feeling for him, then you find out he was part of Vanessa's "therapy" and possibly has ties Dracula.  By the way, when Dracula said he lost his wife last year, was he talking about Mina or just bullshitting?

My only defense is enjoying the comedy and banter.  Notice I didn't defend the political aspect of the episode.

Duchovny has never donned a cowboy hat in history until now.  The Lone Gunmen back together after 15 years.  The Smoking Man as a slave driver in a musical scene.  That vaguely Jackson Browne song playing while Einstein/Miller connected at the end of the day.

I still enjoyed it on the re-watch.  I guess I'll return my 4:3 ratio badge over here...
