  • What music are you streaming?

Kamasi Washington - Heaven And Earth

Wow! I almost blew this off. Watching YouTube and I see Anthony Fantano has another yellow flannel review(yellow flannel means good I guess). I wasn’t to thrilled about yesterday’s lost Coltrane album review( I fell asleep, too many alt tracks stacked together).
So today he starts on what I think is going to be a hip hop album. So he mentions jazz and I cut out to give it a look see. Not expecting anything, I’m given this. I don’t think I’ve been this excited by a jazz album in years. This has so much of the stuff I love in it. I would call it fusion and compare it to Return To Forever, but that’s not what it is. I just reminds me of that a little and that’s how I relate to it. It takes me back to Freedom Sound by Pancho Sanchez. Micheal Becker Tales From The Hudson. If they could fit in some Jon Luc Ponty style electric Violin It would just break my brain. I don’t know how I could do what’s on here to give it justice, give it a spin.
I'm going to stop now but really it’s that good. It’s long be ready for that.

I don’t remember if I mentioned this before. On the local radio station  I’ve been listening to Jonesies Jukebox when I’m in the car in the afternoon. I don’t know if this show is syndicated but if you see it check it out.
Steve Jones Of The Sex Pistols has about two hours of music and interviews. He gets good guest has some stories and is himself.

i guess its its out there for streaming 95.5 klos

I’ve been looking for some interesting stations on XM to listen to. I have been stuck on the New Wave and Deep Tracks since I started listening in 04. I like the So Cal DJs from when I was a kid Richard Blade, Swedish Eagle and Jim Ladd. Now I want something new.
I have been trying out Little Stevens Underground Garage. Sixties Garage Punk, British Invasion and Acid Rock. When little Steven is on he tells great stories, real great stories. I also heard Rodney on the Roq
Is on that station. So so I would give it five freak outs!

@Travis Amoeba nice! The most I spent at a record store was there, like 300 bucks. Mostly used stuff. The clerk went to find me a box to put all the stuff in.

Neko Case has been a constant for me about the mid 2000’s. I like her album Blacklisted the most followed by Fox Confessor. If you didn’t notice she is also in The New Pornographers.

  • IT spoilers

So did they have to kiss all the floating people? Lost me at the end, it was 1:30 when that ended. My friend kept on harping that it took a lot from Nightmare On Elm Street. I thought naw, that book was written in the seventies or early eighties, no it was 86. NOES was 84, but whatever.
