This has quite the cast... Tom Holland, Robert Pattinson, Harry Melling, Sebastian Stan, Bill Skarsgard, Sebastian Stan, Eliza Scanlen (Amma from Sharp Objects)
I live right by there now. Right when we bought our house 11 years ago I went and skated it w/ my old bassist. He’s all about EZ-7. I grew up in SW Houston and never did vert so I wore his protective gear. His action shot is way cooler than mine. I look like I’m about to eat it on a pop shove it and I wore vans slip-ons that day .
Skated there one more time with my brother but I’m too old and out of shape to skate nowadays. Got a cool local board though for the occasional drive way sesh.
Ooh I missed this one from a few weeks ago. From one of the writers from Blackkklansman, Da 5 Bloods, and Chi-Raq. Like the Tulsa race massacre, this story needs to be told and not whitewashed. The Houston Riot of 1917 / The Logan Camp Mutiny. A grim piece of Houston history that is sadly relevant in 2020.
Another Houston-centric movie I’m looking forward to:
Friday I’m In Love, a documentary on Numbers nightclub in the ‘trose. When we were living in Montrose it was more of a music venue / dance club. Saw some great shows there....Spoon....Shellac...Of Montreal. Shellac was cool cause either that day or the day after we went to Mai’s, a Vietnamese restaurant downtown, and Shellac was there. Just so cool like “holy shit that’s Steve Albini!”

wow! that's awesome. never got to see Shellac but wish i did. i was too young to have been able to see Big Black which would have been awesome! my friends and i use to sit around and watch this Big Black show on VHS over and over in my buddies basement when had nothing better to do (which was often haha).
you had me at Jon Hamm. then you lost me at Brendan Fraser.
Hard for me to hate on him after this article I read about him a couple weeks ago. Not trying to ruin your good time but it just so happens that I started watching Doom Patrol a few weeks ago and thought “Where’s that guy been?”

The Nest, out in September:
Only about 25% of this movie has been filmed, so this thing isn't an official trailer, but I am so pumped
I don’t know about you, but to me, this has Oscar-bait written all over it.

This is seriously like a fake movie you’d see as a joke on 30 Rock.
