Knockaround Guys

Does anyone else like this movie?

This crossed my mind today. If I were to commission a podcast, it might be about this movie. Not because it’s a great film (it’s not). Not because it’s my favorite movie (it’s not). But, because 1) it is both interesting and fun, and 2) it is kind of unquestionably flawed.

If you’re not familair with the movie, are there any other movies that (for you) meet this description? Interesting and fun, yet... flawed?

The scene at the beginning where they read Barry Pepper's resume is greatness.

  • I think it’s a very decent film. The DVD or Blu-ray has a good commentary track as well. Lastly I think it’s some of Barry Pepper and Vin Diesel’s best acting ever. And it’s got John Malkovich. I concur with you. Would be a good podcast discussion.

Check out "Find Me Guilty". Thats Vin Diesel's magnum opus (bonus: Peter Dinklage is plays a lawyer in it). For Barry Pepper I usually go with "25th Hour", but who cares. Fuck his L. Ron lovin' ass.
