@Hatorian You’re just being sour because you left Australia and now your kids don’t get to go to Junior Snake Handling Club.

It's wild how many versions of -opoly there are. Just like, the most random little towns will have them. I don't get it. The game is bad! It's tolerable if you play by the actual rules (which no one does, because they are mean, which is the whole point of the game, but at least it's fast when you play with the real rules), but it's still a mediocre at best game. I know expecting, like, local versions of Root or Keyflower or Scythe is just asking way too much, but it's been 25 years since Settlers of Catan came out! Can we at LEAST get settlers of Long Island, Carolinasonne, Ticket to Rhode Island, or something other than the 10,000th reskin of fucking MONOPOLY?!

(I imagine this actually has something to do with monopoly being extremely easy and cheap to produce and everyone recognizing it since stuff like this is meant more as a novelty than a game, but we can do better and we deserve better!)

Also, look at this. JUST LOOK. https://monopoly.fandom.com/wiki/List_of_Monopoly_Games_(Board) There must be 1,000 at least! Wild. Fuck off monopoly.

@CretanBull Doesn’t North America have grizzly bears and coyotes and mountain lions? I feel like we are not doing too badly here!

Yeah, and sometimes they end up hanging out in your backyard & taking a dip in your pool.
Side note, those tiny cubs in the first vid are soooo cute.

Yeah, but I don't have to check my shoes to see if there's a deadly grizzly bear waiting to bite my toes every time I go out!  You guys have all the deadly snakes and spiders, and not content with that you've trained your kangaroos to box, you've made koalas spreaders of chlamydia and your emus are capable of beating an army - and don't get me started on the drop bears!  We get it Australia, you don't want visitors ;)

  • Ticks are a major problem here. Lyme disease is one of the worst you can get. My kids have to bath together after being outside and check each other.

Does Australia have bedbugs, @Dee? Because bedbugs are hands down the worst creature on the planet, and if you don't have them, I'm moving in!

@Freddy I don’t actually know. I will call the Minister for Creepy Crawlies and find out.

They need to make up their mind. Is it fast good food? Or a good fast food?
  • It's good food fast - good food (if you like greasy good food fast). :p

One time at work we were trying to go to a conference on the cheap and my boss said we could eat at different Waffle Houses and do scientific comparisons: “this plate has less hair on it than the last one.”

This must be watched.  Hasan Piker (Hasanabi) watching and reacting to a show where a black family lived as a white family and a white family lived as a black family.  It's hilariously awful.

The downside to Hulu is unskippable commercials. The upside is I got to see this.
